8/16: Timberlake rags Taylor
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Justin Timberlake goes after Taylor Hicks in a supplement to Vanity Fair.
Justin says Taylor can’t carry a tune and how about this for insulting and vaguely offensive:
“If [Hicks] has any skeletons whatsoever, if God forbid, he’s gay, and if all these people in Mississippi who voted for him are like [then he takes on a thick southern accent], ‘Oh my god, I voted for a queer!’ It’s just too much pressure.
Gee, Justin, tell us how you really feel!
8/16: Hudson an Oscar frontrunner already?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Those wacky folks at the LA Times certainly like to jump the gun. Already, there is talk that Season 3 finalist Jennifer Hudson’s role in the film verson of “Dreamgirls” is a showstopper, that early test audiences loved her. She could be a supporting actress Oscar contender.
The writer Tom O’Neil proclaims: “All early buzz indicates that ‘Dreamgirls’ is about to transform Hudson into a superstar.”
Are you excited to see Jennifer become possibly the first “Idol” contestant to become a star via film? (Season one’s Tamyra Gray was the first one to get a good role in “The Gospel” last year.)
8/16: The Idol audition experience
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Virtually every “Idol” auditon is the same story, the same deluded poorly talented hacks mixed with a handful of gems. The lines, the brief rejections, the lines, the hope of stardom, the lines.
Here’s a sample from first person perspective in New York.
Or this one from the Ashbury Park Press.
Or the Herald News.
Or the tabloid I laughed at while in college the Trentonian
Or something better written from the Philly Inquirer
