Is 51 just too old to model?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
French model Ines de la Fressange stole the show during Fashion Week in Paris. The 51-year-old strutted down the runway as the crowd cheered this one-time queen of the catwalk. She wore a creation by designer Jean-Paul Gaultier. “Fashion models are not just 14-year-olds,” Gaultier said. “There are no barriers to beauty.” Do you agree?

Let’s see…is 50 too old to model? NO, after all, 50 year olds buy clothing. Why not show us the merchandise on models that are our age? Oh - that would presume the clothing is appropriate for someone who’s not 15 and rail thin!! Designers, are you listening???

Absolutely not. There are many beautiful, shapely, and energetic 50+ women who are gorgeous. I am 50+ I work out, walk, hike, take part in races and yes I know I can model, I am told that I look great…this model looks great and she is enjoying it. No, she is not too old.

No, it’s not too old. There’s no such thing as too old. There IS such thing as too young for just about anything since youngsters just have no concept of what they’re getting into most of the time.
This woman is just genetically gifted and she’s taken care of herself.
I’m a lot younger than she is and I am really good physical condition (I’m a runner with a 7:30 pace) but what I wouldn’t give to have a long build like she has! Loooooooooooooong and slim.
Nope, I’m Marine Corp Muscular. Not exactly the right build for a slinky dress….
