I think the lyrics are beautiful! The delivery? Not so much! It sounds out of tune and terrible! The lyrics, BEAUTIFUL! Obama is gonna save us all!

His name is William, stop trying to act so cool with your hip hop flare on your name. We already have a song, are they trying to take that away too? They want to make everything as ghetto as they can, I’m going to hate to see what they do to the white house.

Typical hack crap vomitted by a third-grade writer and promoted by none other than Okra Winfrey. Okra looks more and more like she just won the “Don King of TV” award and will stoop LOW to keep her title.
On an economic note, the stock market stated emphatically how it felt about the Obama inauguration. Too much reliance on the nanny state government by those who can’t.
Okra - the Don King of TV. Obama - the Okra of U.S. Presidents.

Didn’t care for the song, it sounded like a hodge podge of voices. Not nearly as inspiring as “America, the Beautiful”.

I am ashamed that the AJC would allow such racist comments online.
Some people never change but the rest of us don’t need to hear such horrible things.

As I sit and watch the first African American sworn is as President my heart is so filled. Then I turn to listen to a saong that was created to celebrate such a wonderful occassion….and I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND!! Can someone please explain why is there still so much hatred when it comes to race? Why is everyone still so angry? Why? When white presidents are elected into office..there are never any black people bashing them because of the color their skin. I wonder if he is THE MOST INTELLIGENT president ever…makes you say hmmm…
Get over it people! He will be a great president!!!

He is now your president as well as mine,so you should respect that alone if you consider yourself as an American. It shows that it is his skin color that you dislike. He has yet to start work and you are putting him down.Get over it!!!

I find it hilarious that now libs are crying for everyone to stop the hate and get along…after 8 years of hateful, horirble things (including wishing him dead) being said about Bush. Give me a break. I don’t like Obama because of his ideology…the government is the problem, not the solution. I don’t like the fact that he is president because people who voted for him did so with almost no knowledge other than the color of his skin. I don’t like having to deal with the constant barrage of accolades thrown at him as if he were Christ himself come down to save us all. I’m sick of being told how amazing this moment is…every inauguration is amazing because America is one of the few nations who still have peaceful change of power, and O’s has been smooth because of the gratiousness of George Bush, which is something Clinton didn’t show 8 years and something Bush won’t be credited for now.

There are many of my peers that are less than understanding of the new President. I however am trying to keep an openmind and be understanding. I plan to sit back and give him a chance before making a judgement because of his color. I disagree with the statement that “there are never any black people bashing them” referring to the inaguration of Caucasian Presidents, that is untrue and everyone knows it. Then you have the posters talking about racism. I want everyone to realize it is going both ways in this blog. That I believe is a big part of the problem as a whole, people only ever want to call it racism when a black person is the person of question of concern or person of interest. Yes, today is historic but no one really knows just what kind of President Obama will be. We all need to just give it some time and then make judgements based on what he has or has not been able to accomplish and what he can do for ALL Americans.

Wayne, did you not hear Rev. Lowery say whites are still on the wrong side. Yea it’s the whites that are still so angry. What you really meant is get over it people he will be a great president, BECAUSE he’s BLACK. How is really keeping the race issue alive? Jesse made a career of doing one thing alone bashing whitey. Grow up Wayne or get over it.

Michelle Obama made a statement when Barrack first started running for office. She said she had never been proud of the United States in her adult life. So why didn’t she just leave. Did it take her husband to be elected for her to “be proud” What type of American is that? Sounds pretty selfish to me.
Don’t talk about race not being an issue….that’s all it is.

Stop hating and get over it. He is the president and ain’t nothing the devil in you can do about. The last shall be first and the first shall be last. I believe these words are being fulfilled. You can make all the nasty jokes and comments you want, but you can’t break our spirit. You never did and never will, because you are not the author and finisher of nothing. Who put in charge… that’s what I thought. So, put your energy on something that is more constructive besides hating people especially when change is needed. When we all bleed, our blood is red… I ain’t never seen or read anywhere in history that it wasn’t. Grow up and get over… You just don’t want to see a BLACK man in power… you don’t own nothing noway. All of you haters are just talk with no action. So suck it up .

If this is attempt to remake the orignial America the Beautiful, it failed miserably. Nice tune, not very inclusive of all people in America however.

I’m shaking my head at the gibberish posted by Satan’s little helper @ 1252pm — I am assuming the little helper is speaking about Black people. So, to that anonymous little helper, thank you for your respect! Will.I.am went from contributing to one of our nation’s most poignant moments to “taking” America’s song in the name of all Blackness. That is outstanding! As far as the White House goes, has the Black race already taken that too by means of Ghetto force? If so, then I guess Blacks can do whatever they want to do to it! Now, as I reflect, it seems that the American Black race has gone from not even being granted the right to use a public restroom to ‘taking everything’! This is remarkable! I hold that to a high regard — almost as high as the level of admiration and respect the Little Helper has for the Black race! Now, I’m not sure how the White House looked the time the Little Helper saw it, but I am 100% sure this was during a time when the White House was occupied by a President that had one major attribute in common with 42 other U.S. Presidents, so it may in fact end up looking a little bit different. So Little Helper, if you really would hate to see it now that it’s been taken (LOL), I suggest that you travel to NE Atlanta and take a gander at the ‘little’ White House on Briarcliff Road. That is one of the ‘everythings’ that has yet to be taken by Black people. The Little White House is something that costs a little too much to be letting Black people ‘up and take’, don’t you agree, Little Helper?
And about the song, I will listen to it once I go home – spent my whole lunch break addressing Satan’s Little Helper – shame on me!

You people, and when I say that its not a racist comment so get over it, but you people act like Obama has accomplished so much and done so many wonderful things in his lifetime! Tell me one thing he himself has accomplished? Nothing, not one thing. Just because he was elected into office doesn’t mean he did anything to achieve that! He was a man with a charismatic personality who was in the right place at the right time so stop acting like you know the man on a personal level because no one does!

This song is horrible. But what do you expect? Anything done by Will Im Not is going to suck. Just listen to any Black Eyed Pukes song. Like … Let’s Get Retarded???? C’mon, give me a break.
How real singers like Seal or Faith Hill can associate with this loser or want to sing this garbage is the real question here. I guess the reason is they just wanted to be a part of something historic. The day may be historic but this song definitely won’t be.
This is almost as embarrasing as the “song” that was written about Atlanta a while back. Anyone remember that? with the chorus that goes “Get ‘em up!” Though that was in a way appropriate, that is what the thugs say to you while you are being mugged in the city.

To Your gonna love me: if this was high school i’d worry about my grammer but its not so I could care less stop trying to put someone down to make yourself feel better! I can promise you I’m better educated than you so don’t even go there!

Hey Porter — you may in fact be educated to a point that sounds believable but i don’t know you and I am sure you do not have the courage to identify yourself so that one can validate your education. So your ignorant claim about you being more educated than someone you don’t even know is null and void. Also, there is nothing that I can say that makes me feel better about myself when I read something that sounds like it came from 1950. I’m speaking about the ‘eat a banana’ comment you made that has been removed, you nitwit. In reference to your grammar — please proof read and correct. At least then you can say “I’m stupid but educated”. LOL! Grow up!

This song made me sick. The artists involved are OK, but the song is CRAP. Our National Anthem is an awesome song.
