Did McCain diss Obama with “That One” remark?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Politics is a dirty business, so a jab here or there can be expected.
But did Sen. John McCain cross the line when he dismissively referred to Democratic rival Barack Obama as “That one” during the second presidential debate?
The remark, shown here on YouTube, was made during discussion of an energy bill. “You know who voted for it? You might never know. That one,” McCain said, pointing to Obama. Obama showed no reaction.
Were you bothered by McCain’s “that one” remark? Was it inappropriate or just politics?

Are you serious, let me guess this will be McCain being racist. Get the Freak over it. Obama is the only one pushing race in his campaign. You whinny liberals were waiting all night for anything so you can go on the attack. “That one” has no racial tone to it whatsoever.

“That one” comment that McCain stated last night could be looked at as being “segegated” and the fact that Obama is African American could be used as a “racist” remark. And there are people out there who think racism is dead, yeah right!
People have to realized that McCain didn’t have solutions to the problems going on with our country and that Obama stated his plans for the economy and for the war in Iraq.
One of McCain’s comments regarding the financial crisis was for the govt to buy those bad mortgages and then have them re-negotiated with the homeowner and lender. What makes you think that if the homeowner couldn’t afford the home before and now that the home’s value could’ve increased since the first loan was made that the homeowner is going to be able to afford the new loan, at a higher price value. The homeowner will back in the hole, again this time a deeper hole.
And this is the person you want to run this country…amazing.

“That One” wasn’t a racist comment, IMO. “That One” can be seen as demeaning, because it negates the dignity bestowed upon human beings that is commonly referred by addressing someone by their name. But I don’t think that McCain did that intentionally.
It just proves that he consistently missteps.

Barack Hussein Obama will lie to your face and smile at you. It was unfortunate that Barrack Hussein Obama’s affiliation with a known terrorist wasn’t brought up or that nearly 10% of his campaign financing has come from the Middle East.
Go Bob Barr.

Come on people. Stop with the race issue. If you must, go back and check what Obama has said about whites, even his own mother and grandmother. Obama referred to McCaine and “this guy” and neither were pulling the must abused and used race card. Be reasonable and united we stand or divided we will fall. If we elect a president who divides as Obama does, we will have a very grim next few years. He simply does not have what it takes regardless of his or mine or your skin color.
