Do you like the new Facebook design?

Does Facebook’s new look need a redo?

The social networking site’s new look was designed to make the site less cluttered, but it seems to do the opposite. It moves member profiles into other areas of the site and news feeds are more prominent. More importantly, though, the redesign is supposed to help Facebook bring in more advertising dollars and revenue.

There’s an estimated $2 billion market for social networking ads and Facebook, which has added 90 million users in the last two years, wants to capture a big chunk of those dollars, according to an article in USAToday.

But the redesign has left a lot of users unhappy. Several groups have called for a return to the former look, including one with 1 million members, the article said.

Do you like the new face of Facebook? Is it harder to navigate? Is it easier to add photos and member information.

It stinks. It is so difficult to navigate. I can’t find things on my own page much less anyone else’s. Once you install an application, they are now near next to impossible to remove.

I don’t care for the new facebook. Why would I not have a say-so in the matter? The new FB is difficult to navigate & not layed out well. This is my personal opinion… what do I know…

Just started using FaceBook. I agree with the above, it is lousy. Very clunky and difficult to get around. There does not appear to be a reason for the difference between the user screen and the home screen.

It sucks.

I’ve gone back to Myspace as my primary source.

Actually, I kind of like it. I like how all the crazy applications are on another tab, so you don’t have to search through them to find a person’s main wall, as opposed to the 57 other “super” walls. But I’m also a hard core user, back from the days when only college students could have it five years ago, so I see the progress.

I hate it, hate it, hate it.

Advertisers on Facebook would be well advised to take their business elsewhere. (perhaps a corporation that listens to its customers?)

I hate the new facebook layout. I have always preferred myspace better and now i have a bigger reason to stick to it. The new facebook format is confusing and it looks more cluttered than anything. I now only log on when i get notified that i’ve received messages.

I like the new layout. I’m a newbie to Facebook since this summer and have always had this layout, but it seems to make a much better use of space than that narrow page before. I also like the news feeds on the main page when I go there now. I think it’s great. People just need time to get used to it.

Hate it - And I just started recently - Why can’t they just leave a good thing alone. Just like when they changed Hotmail. The old was better.

If you people honestly think it’s clunky and hard to navigate, I’d have to say you are all inept with computers.

Honestly, try whining about something else.

I’m a new user, too. I don’t like it as much. But I do enjoy the default newsfeed view.

I think Facebook is difficult to navigate. I’ve had a difficult time since I first joined and then it changes about the time I figure it out.

I hate it. I liked a person’s news feed, wall, information, etc, ALL being on the same page! I wasn’t thrilled to wait for a few applications to load all the time but I didn’t mind it, now I would gladly trade that over the new sh!t any day!!!!! I haven’t logged in on my computer in over a week! Any messages or wall posts someone sends me I get in my email and then email or call instead of responding via facebook. I logged in once on someone elses blackberry since it’s app isn’t cluttered crap, thank goodness. I am a facebook veteran, I’ve tried to become less addicted over the years and thanks to the junk that is the new facebook, its finally happened.

Some may say I should be grateful it broke my addiction, but no no, I LIKED easily being able to find and catch up with old friends. BRING THE OLD FACEBOOK BACK!!!

I like it, actually I love it! Everything is right there to click. I hated having to travel 2 miles down somebody’s page to write on their wall.
