Six Flags ticket price takes plunge
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
While the cost of food and fuel is going up, the price of fun is going down.
Six Flags Over Georgia on Tuesday announced a $10 price cut for a regular adult admission ticket — from $49.99 to $39.99. The price reduction is for the rest of the 2008 season.
The Cobb County amusement park — home to 10 roller coasters including Superman: Ultimate Flight and The Great American Scream Machine — is currently open weekends. Full time operations are May 23 through Aug. 10.

I guess they have to drop the price some since they removed Dejavu(imo, the best ride in the park). I agree with the above poster….too many young thugs cutting in line and need their mouths washed with soap. I have no need to ever go back.

It’s way past time, if you ask me. They have been “OVERPRICED” since they opened. People with 2 or 3 children can’t afford to go when they have to pay for their tickets and the kids too. Six Flags should reduce the price of the kids tickets as well!!

They also need to consider lowering the price of parking, which at $15 last year, is an even bigger rip-off. I don’t think Disney is even that expensive to park, and Six Flags is no Disney/Epcot, etc.

They have no choice. When I was 14-17 I would get a season pass every year. It was fun, safe, etc. Now, due to the illegals, gangs, and thugs, they even have to have metal detectors at the enterance. How sad is that? Why do they ruin or mess up everything? At least I still have Disney to take my kids to where it is still safe. Why? Because the thugs, gangs, and illegals can’t afford to go to Orlando often.

Deja Vu was the best ride in the park? You must of been one of the five people who got to ride it during the one hour over the past five years that it wasn’t broken!
As for line-jumpers, you are right. Every time I’ve been to Six Flags in the past few years (which, I concede has only been a few times) I have been amazed at the amount of unsupervised children and teenagers running around, breaking into lines, spewing obscenities, and hitting on each other. It really has gone down hill since the eighties.

I wouldn’t waste my money. It is a dirty park where trouble makers hang out and cause trouble. The food is terrible and cost a fortune. I would rather spend my money going to Disney where the parks are clean and the food (while not too expensive) is good. Also, don’t have to worry about the trouble makers. I remember the CEO stating a year or more ago that they were going to revamp the parks and return them to a more family friendly park….what happened!!!

I used to work in management in the theme park industry. In my opinion, Six Flags has always been poorly managed. As far as their prices go, they are definitely overpriced, but then again, most places are.
Last time I went to Six Flags was about 3 years ago when I took a group from church. I would agree that many of the thug type teens in attendance made it much less family friendly. I was very disappointed.
Personally, I have three kids and I am not sure that the cost of going is worth it when there are other things we could do that would be so much less expensive. If you want the ticket prices to go down, don’t go until they do. If attendance drops significantly, they will be forced to lower prices.

I will not spend any more money at Six Flags. They could make it free for all I care. The park is trashy, the workers sullen, the food horrible, the prices exorbitant, the lines long, the crowd disgusting, parking prices outrageous and as for the person who said Deja Vu was the best ride…are you kidding?! It was never open! Who knows if it was any good or not?

Moved here in the late 70’s and Six Flags was the BOMB. For the last 15 years or more, it’s gone steadily downhill. It’s filthy, over-crowded and run by morons.
Want to go to a REAL amusement park? Try Busch Gardens in Tampa. It’s a classy place with something for everyone! Six Flags will NEVER get my money again.

Yes, they are very overpriced. The tickets should be 19.99 adults, 9.99 children, 4 and under (FREE). And also, my neice used to work there. They should be under investigation for the way they treat their teen employees. And Dammit, make the rides big enough so that my booty can fit in the seat!

Six Flags is filthy!! Remember when the people on roller skates constantly swept up the trash? The food is expensive, gross, and just try to find a clean table to sit down and eat. They need to visit Disney and learn how to run a theme park. The need a free “fast pass” system instead of sucking more money from their guest.

The only solution for Six Flags: no one under age 18 is allowed into the park without an adult over age 25. No more than four kids to each adult.
It’s the only way. Too bad we’ve come to this point, but the kids today are not anything like the kids of just twenty years ago.

The question I keep asking (and would be asking if I managed Six Flags) is: Why don’t you see the line cutting at Disney? Why don’t you hear the profanity? What is different about a Disney park that keeps trouble-makers at bay? The answers to these questions are the keys to Six Flags’ future.
Every year it seems as though Six Flags makes superficial improvements, but continues to provide only a mediocre experince. The answer is not more rides or different prices. They must create an environment where “thugs” feel utterly unwelcome and uncomfortable. You do this with cleanliness, landscaping, food quality, air conditioned facilities, and security personnel. But most of all, you do it with employees who are smiling, helpful, and whose pants do not sag.

Well gee guys..I never been to six flags..really would like to go but after reading this blog it sounds like lot like coney island in nyc. I quit going to coney island when i was a teenager thats how bad it was. last time i went i was 16. I have heard horror stories of six flags but now I am sure of it..I will spend my 40 dollars elsewhere..like put it in my gas tank..take a long drive, pack a picnic lunch.load up the car with goodies..load up my dependent and drive around the fair city of atlanta until i get tired which is about after an hour and a half. then back home..keep the rest of my dollars in my pocket..miss the crowds and crazy teenagers..it aint even worth the stress. thats not having a good time and blowing yur money and getting nothing in return. And if theres one thing thats a pet peeve of mine..sour faced workers with an attitude..that really ticks me off and my money is keeping their azzes employed there.

i was a cast member at disney world for 4 years in attractions and food and beverage. when i heard that six flags was getting back to a more family friendly atmosphere i was thrilled. but nothing changed. it’s still trashy and over-crowded with thuggish teenagers. not to mention 16 year olds running roller coasters. as someone who has worked in the industry i know what kind of safety procedures are supposed to be followed and i’ve never really seen it done there. and the guest service is non-existent. i have seen people in line at closing time turned away from rides. how rude?! that would never happen at disney world.

I couldn’t agree more with the comments above. If I was allowed to pack my pistol in my waistband I might consider going, but I refuse to put my life on the line to wait for two hours to ride a 50 second roller coaster.

I was at Six Flags the year it opened and was a season ticket holder from the time I moved back to Atlanta until a few years ago. It was, and the key word is was, a great place to take my kids for the same fun I had. No more. I am not going to spend my money and my time in a place that is in chaos, is dirty and is run down. The employees in the old days were polite and were helpful. There was never any trash around. The paint was fresh. None of those are true now. Six Flags was built as a park that was to be there for ten years and has held on until now. I wonder why we don’t have competition in a area with this population. It would force Six Flags to become family friendly or it would force Six Flags to close. Amusement parks live and die on the family business and I am afraid that is leaving Six Flags. I feel that is a pity because I would love to revisit the fun I have known so much of my life, but they won’t see me or my kids there again unless there are drastic changes for the better. I can plan a trip to Dollywood or to Orlando. Both leave me with good memories.

Hey red.
Sorry for giving you a socio-political platform with which to campaign for “gay rights”.
I guess you don’t realize that sometimes people come across these blogs and post randomly, trying to think up a name to post under. I oftentimes just use something in the article to go off of. I chose to use and ampersand rather than spell the real word. It’s no different than anyone else who may use a coded word for any other expletive they want to say on a blog.
If you want to somehow make me out to be some type of homophobe, go right ahead, it doesn’t change the fact that it is a word, just the same as flag, just minus the “l”.
I very well realize that the term “thug” is the new code term for n!@@er, yet you haven’t seen me attack people for their use of it (though I don’t necessary like or agree with it - and I am Black by the way). Get over yourself, so I don’t have to waste my time debating socio-political agendas and rant like everyone else.

At least with Deja Vu being broken and closed all the time, I wouldn’t have to waste my time standing in line. I think I’ve only gone on Superman once where it didn’t break when I was next to go. I wouldn’t mind paying the admission price if the park was cleaned up and overhauled and made it worthy of the cost.

We travel to Disney one to two times a year. But, we haven’t been to Six Flags in years. They have lousy kids (2yrs - 8yrs) rides and the park is not clean, and the staff clearly has not been trained to put the customer first. The Thomas the Train ride is a step in the right direction. If I was a teenager, I would probably love it. But as an adult with small children, I see no reason to visit.

I was born and raised in Georgia. I grew up going to Six-Flags as a kid. Last year, I took my kids there - it was the first time I had been back in 10 years - it was CULTURE SHOCK. Indifferent teenagers operating rides with one hand and chatting on cell phones with the other. The only time they would put the cell phones down was to let one of their friends climb over the rails and break in line. Trash everywhere. Difficulty getting any service at the concessions, except when the teens running the concessions would give away free food to their friends. No wonder they are having to cut prices. I tried to find an adult supervisor to complain when the train was held up by the teen operator so another teen could grab the mike and yell into it trying to find one of their common friends “Denita - girl! You on here? Where you at girl?” I tried finding an adult in a park uniform to complain - couldn’t find one. Needless to say, I will never go back, even for free. No telling what tragedy will have to happen before the places finally gets closed down.

Thug -noun 1. a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.
2. (sometimes initial capital letter) one of a former group of professional robbers and murderers in India who strangled their victims.
I dont see any mention of black or white in here. Your making that association. There are thugs of every color. Many of who hang out at SixFlags.

Sorry, dude. rationalize it all you want, but using the name “Six F@gs” certainly hints at homophobia, whether it actually exists or not. If you’re going to choose to use an inflammatory name like that, you shouldn’t get mad if people react to it. It’s what you intended when you chose it!
What happened on I-20 last year (or was it two years ago) is a perfect example of why the park is no longer a good place for families. There is simply no oversight by management, and the security is scarce. The park is dirty, the lines are long, the prices are exceptionally high.
The only people who go to Six Flags now are out-of-towners who don’t know any better, and teenagers who are there because their parents don’t know what else to do with them.
Six Flags: triple your security team immediately. Triple your grounds staff immediately. The cut in admission prices is a great move… now follow it up with a cut in concessions prices. Repaint the entire park, and institute attendance caps so that the place is not overrun. Place strict limits on unaccompanied teenagers, as noted in above posts. Retrain your staff so that they dress appropriately and are polite to the guests, instead of acting like walking zombies with sagging pants. Follow these directions and maybe, just maybe, those of us who live here in Atlanta will return. Until then, I just can’t do it. It’s just not worth it.

chris - the only person that brought out the race card is you. So my question to you is why are you associating race with gangs and thugs - when they come in all colors, shades and RACES. Why do you choose to blame everything on thugs? Did it not cross your minds for one minute that maybe the management has a hand in Six Flags being the way it is? Not all teenagers are thugs and the sterotype is ridicalus we all know who you are referring to. I do agree that the crowds make it uncomfortable for families like my own but instead of you using this opportunity to bash a whole class of people why haven’t you come up with some suggestions to turn the situation around. I agree with the person who suggested having adult supervision requirements (Since it is a theme park and not a day-care) or better security all together would be a better option then you trying to pack your pistol in your waist band so you say. I would hate for that to happen and you accidently shoot yourself while enjoying your thug induced ride. such ignorance!!! Oh and by the way the thugs seem to be the only ones not complaining about the price.

Six Flags, has unfortunately become a place where parents can pay for a season pass & drop their kids off all summer. Cheap daycare. To ITAMAZESME. I see that you are also in denial. What did I say that was racist? I said thugs, who are 95% black, always mess everything up. Disney is a 95% white crowd. Do you see any problems there? Nope. Look at East Cobb, where it is 95% white. Now look at good ole SW DeKalb, where it is 99.9% black. Where do you hear about shootings and murders daily? It is not racist, just the truth. Blacks MESS THINGS UP. You had a fun Buckhead party area who catered to mostly young, white young adults. Never was there a problem. Then, blacks saw the fun, moved in, and started shooting people which forced the downhill start of Buckhead. WHY?

RAISE THE PRICES!!!!
Then the busloads of unsupervised thugs from Atlanta & Birmingham won’t be able to afford the admission price!
And get rid of season passes so the grown-up thug parents of the thuglets don’t have three months of free baby-sitting!

Wow, I guess it’s been a long time since I was last at Six Flags! I think I went around 2002 or so, and it was fine, I even had a really good time, AND I got to ride Deja Vu - the most intense coaster I’d ever ridden - I was dizzy for a long time after that one. I had no idea the park had gone so downhill since then. It’s sad.
I, like some of the other posters here, went to Six Flags as a child when it opened over 40 years ago, and grew up going there each summer. We went as teens, and acted as teens will act, but I remember no “thugs”. Is there actual bullying now? Threats to strangers from kids? We used to spit from the cable cars, does that count as “thug” activity? Kids will be kids, but trash is unacceptable.
In my middle age I can’t really tolerate coasters anymore, so I can’t see I’d get anything out of a visit, and if it’s as bad as everyone here says it is, well, I’ll remember my pasts visits fondly and that’s enough for me.

For all of those individuals complaining about the rude kids/teenagers at Six Flags, ponder on this thought. Those same kids that are disrespectful, use profanity, cut lines, etc., those are the same kids that belong to productive citizens as myself, to you or to friends and family. They also live in my neighborhood, your neighborhood, and your friends neighborhood but it’s always someone else’s child that is causing the problem. You want a reality check, look in the mirror and start parenting to your child because if they don’t belong to me then they must belong to you.

Thugs were in there back in the 70s as well… my best friend and I, both 16 at the time, were attacked by a dozen + thugs, right in front of the Mind bender entrance, by the railroad track. FOR NO REASON! It was the Mind Benders first year.
We held our own for approx 45 secs, until the Auburn univ O-line saved us… they were visiting that day. But we did still do damage to them on our own. Seems like it was the other day.
OH… it wasn’t a hate crine though, Kevin and I are white, those losers were all black, but it wasn’t a hate crime(wink, wink).

I don’t know why they are lowering the price. THey should raise it, like someone else said. The Thugs can’t afford $125.00 ticket or a $30.00 lunch or a $200 hotel room or $25.00 dolloar parking or $400 worth of gas….OH Yeah thats more then a $1000 for two peolpe for one day and one night at that park in Florida. I can’t afford that for a family of 4 either. Oh and I live in florida. Most people don’t know how good they have it.

* One guy (post somewhere around 3:20pm) suggested the park was run by thugs then said that he wasn’t racist just telling the truth. Sounds pretty racist to me. Since when is thug and any minority group synonomous?* One thing to ponder. Many of these “ghetto” “thugs” you clowns conplain about are your kids. The children of the less fortunate are not the ones invading six flags. it’s the middle class wannabees raised by most of you causing all of the trouble.

It is still not even worth the discounted price. Six Flags used to be a very well run place to go but the workers now have bad attitudes, it is dirty, weeds all in the flower beds, trash in the streets and the clientele is pretty much what you would expect in that part of the metro area. Lowering the price will just allow more trashy people to go. This in turn, will only dissuade families and good kids to not go.

Hate to disappoint but Chris is right, the thugs are majority black kids. I remember Buckhead was the place to be a few years ago, not anymore. The thugs are also at your local malls, with their pants down to their ankles. Why? Why can’t their parents raise them to be respectable citizens like most kids are instead of low life street gangsters. Sorry that the rest of you feel we are racist but the truth is the truth. Disney World is sucessful because most of us 95.5% white folks act like we have common sense, we have respect for others and want to succeed in life. Get over it, educate your thuglets and maybe they will not be looked at as just thugs but model citizens instead.

Just go to Stone Mountain Park instead, it’s cleaner, more wholesome, friendlier, AND costs less. It’s the best place in Atlanta to take your family. They have a cool new attraction opening up this year too that looks awesome on their website.

Holy CRAP! What happened to this place? Not that Six Flags was ever the most affordable or efficently ran amusement park in the world but I always had so much fun there… now I am completly disheartened to find out what a nightmare it would be go go there with some friends and relive riding the Scream Machine and the Mind Bender like it was 1991. That is really sad— why the hell don’t they do soemthing about it? Everyone had so many great ideas to improve on the place.

I grew up in Marietta and had a Season’s Pass every year. My parents would drop us off in the morning and pick us up at night without a worry in the world. We were always safe and never felt threatened. Today is a different day.
Six Flags management could fix the problem with the thugs. When you enter that park you are on private property. Six Flags has every right to maintain dress policies and code of conduct rules. Security should be beefed up and violaters kicked out.
I used to work in management at White Water years ago (before they were bought by Six Flags). We routinely called parents to come pick up their teenagers or we would have the police taken them away if they were violating park policy. We were very strict but it kept the park family friendly. It is my understanding that the park has gone downhill considerably since Six Flags purchased them.

Is Six Flags management so clueless that they are unaware of the “thug” (no racial connotation intended) problem or do they think we don’t know/don’t care. I have no plans to take my child and will not ever let her have a Season Pass like I had when I was a teen. It would not be hard to clean it up if SFOG really wanted to. Just slap on a coat of paint, keep it clean, hire decent workers and supervise them. Then you institute a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding fighting, line breaking, profanity and other disruptive behavior. Throw their butts out and forfeit their Season Passes. You can do this without raising prices.

Six Flags is now a Stinking, Dirty, Thug Cesspool, just like much of Atlanta has become. I really don’t care because I no longer go to either. I’ll stay in my clean, sweet-smelling, North-of-Atlanta, community, where the word garbage still refers to something you take to the curb. Atlanta/Six Flags are filled with garbage of the other kind… You can make your own judgement as to whom I’m speaking…

Hey Dirty….my kids are not thugs. I actually spend time with them, know their friends, know where they are and what they are doing. It is not that hard to do but you do have to put their best interests first. A hard thing to do for some people. I call it as I see it. You see more black kids emulating ghetto life and acting like thugs than you do white kids. I believe you will remember the two white girls who were recently killed by black thugs????? The girls were smart college students who were not bothering anyone. Thugs can’t stand to see people prosper on their own. Sad but true.

Atlanta’s Six Flags has got to be one of the worst parks in the chain. It is highly heralded by coaster enthusiasts due to its robust collection of roller coasters, but customer service, food quality, and cleanliness have all been the worst I have ever seen at an amusement park. Worse yet, it sits in a high-crime neighborhood, resulting in all of the afore mentioned thugs. I went to Six Flags St. Louis while on vacation last year and it was a much better experience — clean, safe, and filled with family-friendly rides and staff. I couldn’t care less about the ticket price decrease because I have already vowed that SFOG will not see a dollar of my money until they straighten out the mess they have there.

Wow. I’m glad I read this blog. I had thought maybe the past fights that made the news were isolated cases that might happen anywhere. I was recently considering whether they had enough appropriate rides to take my young children this summer, but after reading this… no way!!! I’ll either make the drive to Disney or check out one of the other suggestions here.
Does Cedar Point or Busch Gardens (Tampa or Williamsburg) have much for young children? Or Stone Mountain? Mine are 3 & 5. Otherwise, back to the Magic Kingdom for us! :-)

The trashy area around the park is why so many thugs and gangs hang out there. Clean up the area then freshen up the park, teach the employees to be respectful and quit hiring anyone that breathes. In short, everything and everybody within a 5 mile radius needs to be flattened and start over.

It’s very upsetting that the AJC would allow this posting to continue. In read in a few posting Thugs is another word used for the N word so when using Thugs in this Blog it’s in reference to a Black Male Teen mostly…..It’s sad that there is so much race hate…alive and well you can feel the rage when you scroll through and read the venomous attacks thats in alot of these posting……Black Male Teens did not cause the demise of Six Flags……There are just as many unsupervised kids of other race and gender running around on the loose in Six Flags as well…..I know it’s easy to blame the Black race it makes more sense doesn’t it….But is it right….NO….My family meaning my two sons and yes they are black and yes…. I took them and stayed….. Shocked….you shouldn’t be…….during this same trip for Spring Break I saw just as many Teenage boys of other races and ethnic backgrounds with pants saging grouping up, breaking in lines, loud and etc….but that’s alright as long as they are not Black can’t have that…… There are good parents raising great kids and don’t faint when I say this but yes they are Black….Fix you as a person becasue you are the thug you have problems, it’s a whole lot of hate inside of you and it’s you I wouldn’t want at Six Flags………I say Thanks because it’s your kind I wouldn’t want to be around……Upping the prices to keep the Thugs (Blacks Out)that’s really white of you…..Everybody wants a safe enviroment to bring our family why don’t we just clean up the park of bad behavior and stop pointing the finger at one race it’s so much Bigger than one race.

Ceding the parks to the thugs is basically surrendering. Last I checked, Atlanta was not in France, and surrenders to nobody. You want to fix it? Here’s what you do.
1) Teach your kids better. I’m talking to parents in SW DeKalb AND parents in NE Cobb. Teach them that adults are to be listened to and respected.
2) Bring your kids to the park and enjoy the day with them. Don’t drop them off. The park staff are not babysitters.
3) See something you don’t like? Report it! Security hosts are all over the park. Look for employees with earbuds, who are generally supervisors and are empowered to take care of trouble. Go to Guest Relations (in the Promenade, on the same side as Scorcher) and lodge a complaint; get it on paper.
To steve: I worked very closely with Six Flags management in 2005 and 2006 at White Water (I moved to Florida in 2007, otherwise I still would be). These people care about the park and care about how it’s run. It shows; it’s one of the most respected water parks in the industry (yes, in the same tier as Schlitterbahn and Disney). It’s still one of my favorites, and I live a short hop from the Disney Water Parks and SeaWorld’s superb new Aquatica.
ATL-Mom: Cedar Point is a thrill park; very little for your age children. The Anheuser-Busch parks are well-known for their kids’ activities, which isn’t bad for parks built on beer. But please, don’t dismiss Six Flags based on what you’re reading here. Do yourself a favor; go to the parks on a Sunday, instead of Saturday. You will miss a LOT of the thugs, and follow the advice I give above.

I’ve never been to Disney World but I have to agree with some other comments and recommend Cedar Point up in Sandusky, Ohio as an example of the way an amusement park should be run. The rides are awesome (look up Top Fuel Dragster online), and you don’t have the crazy two-three hour waits to get on rides because the staff has been trained to get you off and on the rides. Six Flags needs to send all their management up there to see how it’s supposed to be done…

One of the main differences between the beautifully run Disney and sad, sad Six Flags is the use of the singles line.
Nothing makes me more angry than empty seats for a ride with an hour wait. Disney does an excellent job making sure every seat is filled. Six Flags doesn’t care is you can only make it to five out of nine rides in a day that cost 50 bucks. They’d solve a heck of a lot of line-waiting if they would have a singles line.

Steve: In a way, they did. Cedar Point worked really well early in the day, but later on it wasn’t nearly as efficient, and they never informed guests during ride breakdowns (not even a pre-recorded spiel).
kay: Only three attractions at Walt Disney World use single-rider lines—Test Track, Rock N Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest. On other rides without single-rider lines, empty seats are everywhere. Disney does try and fill them, but it’s not required or forced, and attraction waits on peak days have hit 4 hours.

About six years ago, I took my wife, 2 god daughters and one of thier friends to Six flags. While waiting in line to ride Batman, one young black male asked me if he could ” date my daughta”. I ignored him as long as I could, and then as we passed him again, he tried to grab one of thier hands. As a 6’4” 250 LB. man, I finally let him know what was about to happen to him and he and his”gang” backed off. As a law enforcement officer I know what ” Gang Bangers ” look like. Who knows what would have happened if I had not been there. And for those of you who think i am racist, I had the same situation with a young white THUG as well. Good luck to future visitors, black or white. I say bulldoze the joint.

However upon moving out some of my closest friends are now blacks and yes I tell them how I felt growing up. Yet they understand how anoyingly bold their black counterparts are in the ATL! Why do the blacks ruin everything?
By Da Dawg
April 29, 2008 7:17 PM | Link to this
Simple answer, Michael. The black community now is composed predominantly of adolescent women (no men), with no parenting skills whatsoever, raising babies. Those babies grow up with no sense of responsibility, no sense of right or wrong, no language sklls, no coping skills, no anger management skills, no social skills, and no clue whatsoever about how to act in a civilized society.
Just cruise around Lenox — and even Perimeter — Mall on a Saturday night, and see the vast gulf in behavioral skills between the white/asian kids, and the black kids — who travel in packs, bumping into people, throwing trash on the ground, and hurling non-stop obscenities (to the extent they speak intelligibly at all). And, it’s getting worse, no better. Truly sad.

We used to have a season pass till two years ago. I agree the park is dirty and expensive. The parking is even worse (yes Disney is less). When we did go we went from about 10 AM till 1 or 2. Rode the big coasters and then ate our packed lunch in the car (thank goodness they had a parking pss). The teens don’t get up that early it seems. Also White Water has gone down also. The same tubes with peeling paint and nothing has been done since it opened. We need new owners!

I mean, if you feel this way, how do you live your life? Do you leave the house? Interact with people at your job? Go to basketball game, probably get scared there and run away. I love Disney, but it never changes, it’s the same old crappy rides, why do yall think they lost so much money that ABC had to buy them out? Because Disney is failing. The company I work for almost bought them until we realized that it would have been a bad purchase and as a stockholder, I would have been highly upset. We all know what you want to say, but you can’t say it cause it’s not allowed. So you not fooling anybody by saying Thug. Keep on saying it, you’ll find that you might get slapped for saying Thug too. So what do yall do now, you’re afraid to go anywhere, you gonna build a park up in Forsyth County?

In response to the so called “HATE” or “RACIST” comments, lets be clear on some things. First, the majority of the THUGS at Six Flags are Black, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its share of White, and Latino THUGS as well. All of the unsupervised THUG kids are leading to Six Flags demise, its not a jab at any race, but a fact. I consider a THUG the same as a troublemaker, maybe some people use the term in other ways, but for me thats how I view it, and there is no separation of race when it comes to a troublemaker.
The staff there is horrible, they pretty much seem to go through their daily work with little care about anyone or anything. The park is very dirty, and the lines are outrageous.
Perhaps all the people complaining here should send Six Flags corporate a nice little email suggesting ways to improve the park!

What’s really funny is how angry some of you are on this blog, when the TOPIC began happily enough with SFOG cutting it’s prices! I would think that this would have sparked more pleasant conversation, but I guess I was wrong. It is so easy to make racist remarks on a blog, but the majority of you are probably wimps who could never voice your incredibly stupid opinions in a face to face public forum! To all of you placing blame with the black community in Atlanta, let me tell you something…you get what you deserve! I’m a yankee and proud of it,for starters, the school system here is geared to keep poor children down and without hope. To James. See you are one of the ignorant ones as well. If just one person in this silly blog said it was being screwed up by blacks/thugs I would see your point but 95% of the people are saying it. What does that mean? It means people are only speaking the truth. Is it “racist” if I say that 95% of the murders in this city are caused by blacks even though that is the proven truth? NOPE. This is not “judging” people, it is only speaking the truth. All I know is that when I went 15 years ago, the crowd was mostly white and there were no problems. Now, it’s half black and there are many problems. Pretty obvious what the problem is.

I see why people in other countries laugh at us. All this racism is ridiculous. We put each other down, and I’m not talking about just white racist putting down Blacks, I have heard just as many negative comments about Whites and Mexicans at work, school and in public places. We need to wake up people. Other countries are laughing at us. We can’t even come together for the simple things. Hell, we can’t even get a decent president in office cause too many people have too much pride in voting for a black man or a white female. And for the person who made the comment that we need to look in the mirror and start with our own kids, they were absolutely right. Stop putting down other races, thinking you are better and worry about your human race.
And for who ever says that Disney is so much better than SF, trust me, there were just as many kids making out, cutting lines, profanity, etc at Disney. They were just spread out over 6 parks. I spent 8 days there last month and yes it was cleaner, but the same disrespectful kids were running around at all the parks, black and white. It’s not black, white, mexican, etc. It’s all of our kids. Wake up!!

Why would simply stating a fact like “the two college girls that were recently murdered were murdered by black men” make anyone a racist? Why would you assume that I am white? I could be or not - I am someone who is ashamed at the state of the youth in our country - not just Atlanta. Both black and white - no one is teaching there children to be responsible for their actions. I, for one, would never go to Six Flags, not after the bad press they have been getting. Wouldn’t go even if it were free. They need to figure out what Disney does that’s so right and make corrections as needed. I am not from Atlanta, so I have no reference as to how good it used to be. I don’t go downtown, and I do my shopping at Mall of Georgia if I have to go to a mall. Only leave Eastern Gwinnett if I have to - like it out here in the country.

HOWEVER …** If you arrested the 100 most obnoxious thugs in Six Flags, I suspect 85 would be black, 5 would be latino, 5 would be oriental and 5 would be white!
Saying “Most thugs are black” in Six Flags is NOT racist … just an acute & accurate observation!

Saying that the majority of problems at Six Flags are caused by black teens is not racism … it’s an unbiased observation and perception.

It is unfortunate that this has turned into an issue of race. But the fact is SF is a scary place, I have heard too many stories about kids getting beat up or shot at, etc. and I refuse to willingly put myself in a situation like that. When you mention SF to me - that is what comes to my mind. When you mention Disney, I don’t have the same reaction. It’s my own feelings, I own them. They don’t make me a racist, I am not blaming any specific race or gender. SF is not a safe place, and until it becomes a better place, we won’t go.

Why has no one yet said anything about the REAL problem with Six Flags??? Yes it does have alot to do with what alot of you have already stated,so I wont be repetative in that regard. But how about the LOCATION of Six Flags??? The area around Six Flags is now run down and alot of the thugs, gangs, etc. live around Six Flags so it is easy access. Its like going to the local park. Last time I checked Six Flags doesnt control the area around the park where people live. Thats up to the city and county to make the neighborhood better. Of course DisneyWorld is nicer, because its on land away from where people actually live, so lets not get this confused. And last but definetly not least, all of you folks who keep using the word “thug” and think black people dont know you mean the N word are fooling yourselves. Its just one of your many code words you have to use these days bc if you were to utter that N word, you may not make it home in one peace. God Bless and good night.

I am so with Gabrielle. I was disoriented for like an hour after actually riding Deja Vu. I had tried 4 times prior and it was always broken. But trust me when I say it was the best ride ever, hands down. Way above Acrophobia which is the second best. But yes, the line jumpers and the breaking down of other rides like superman make me not want to go unless it is free. Also can we get taller roller coasters?

I am confused… so the T-H-U-G-S and illegals have enough money to go to over-priced Six Flags?
I typically only go on Corporate nights… crowds are smaller because a company is renting the park!
They should change the entire pricing plan.
The only reason I would come to the park is to bring my 7 year-old.
They should structure it like the kid’s park in Marietta,
where the parents pay some small amount because they are not really going to ride.
If I bring a 7 year-old to the park, I can’t ride adult rides… yet I have paid FULL-PRICE!!!
Charge parents some small amount just to bring their kids in to ride. We will likely eat, so Six Flags can still make money.

Liv4Luv,
You stated : ” the school system here is geared to keep poor children down and without hope.”
Did you know that the City of Atlanta public school system spends far above the State average for students on a per-capita basis? Probably not since it is obvious from your posts that you are not the type to actually research your arguments or even think them through for that matter. For the record: we have some good schools here and some really bad ones, but none are “designed” to keep anyone down. That statement is so idiotic it barely warrants a response. I’m a yankee too and realize that stupidity has no geographical monopoly.
As for Six Flags, it suffers from the same problem that most businesses in Atlanta have: their hands are for the most part tied. If they did crack down on obnoxious behavior they would be accused of racism so they have to play the situation with kid-gloves…and we all know what the result of THAT strategy is.

I actually agree six flags attracts a trashy crowd. But you suburbanite pansies are pathetic. I am white, upperclass and from an all white neighborhood, but I’m not scared of a few black teens hanging around. Maybe because I’m actually from inside the perimeter? *Last time I went to six flags it was the white trash, 90 pound teens with tattoos on their puny arms that dirtied up the park. The black teens don’t even bother me at six flags.. I rather have them around then some of you outside the perimeter white trash fatasses, including your fatass family. * I’m Atlanta born and raised, maybe some of yall should stop claiming your from Atlanta and posting on the ATLANTA Journal… and keep your paranoid asses in your cookie cutter stucco suburban homes.

Hey, I heard SFOG will have a new ride this summer. Its a dog-fighting emulator. If your dog wins, you get a rebate on your ticket. What makes these kids thugs? pants sagging? cursing? skipping line? this probaby describes most of your kids…
1 news reporting of a kid getting beat up last summer makes Six Flags a dangerous place?

people feel and think the way they want to - sometimes it’s because of past experiences, sometimes out of stupidity. All of us calling each other names, saying someone is a racist because they don’t think like you do, act like you do or totally agree with you is just dumb. If I don’t want to like you, then I don’t have to, and if you don’t want to like me, then you don’t have to. Doesn’t mean I’m going to strap a bomb to my chest and blow up the Publix or anything like that, it’s just life. What we do have to do is give people the benefit of the doubt, deal with each person individually and try not to judge an entire race based on the actions of a few.

Here is a fun exercise. go to thugreport.com. Count the percentage of blacks mugshots in the 100+ stories of crime activity. (this requires more than a GED, it means you have to actually divide numerals). Then, once informed, you can decide if associating the term thug with blacks is a mathematical reality…….or you can stick your head in the sand of denial and cry ‘racism’ - I guess that might be the weaker man’s strategy, as opposed to accepting reality and striving to address it.

You “big city” folks need to come on down to South Georgia if you want to enjoy a nice clean, family-oriented amusement park. Six Flags has nothing on WILD ADVENTURES THEME PARK in Valdosta, GA. Lots & lots of thrilling rides, animals, a water park, concerts, fireworks, shows, and other entertainment. It’s huge, it’s clean, and it’s fun. I was at Six Flags the first week it opened and used to have season passes and take my children. Now, I wouldn’t take my grandchildren to that thug and gang and low class uneducated infested place. It sits in the middle of an area that has gone to just the sort of people you see at and around the park. It’s disgusting! I feel so sorry for anyone who comes to the area unknowingly and books a reservation at the dumps located around Six Flags. It’s just another example of the disgrace associated with the fine citizens of Atlanta and Fulton County!!!

Again, how does living outside of the perimeter make you a pansy and give you a big butt?? Doesn’t that sound just as dumb as the people who are saying that everything that is wrong with Atlanta is because of one race or the other? You are making generalizations just like they are, and just like them you are off the mark. I am not a pansy, I do not have a big butt and I do not think that the problems with Atlanta or Six Flags is because of blacks. I do believe that there is something wrong with Six Flags or so many people wouldn’t have such negative opinions of it. Most people spoke about there PERSONAL EXPERIENCES, how can you invalidate that?

I think the comment about gold teeth was totally uncalled for - and I am a 43 year old white woman from New Orleans. You don’t need to make comments like that. IF you are white - well you are an embarrassment to me. How would you feel if I said “man, I was at the mall yesterday and you should have seen those white hillbillies there - not a set of teeth between the both of them, and they had to take turns riding the elevator because they were so fat”. Now would that sound nice? Might be true, but still isn’t nice. What we lack is common courtesy. When is the last time any of you let someone at the grocery store go in line before you if they only had 1 or 2 items and you had a cart full? If you can’t stop yourself from writing nasty comments, then log off your computer and go to bed.

The entrance fee should be tripled — to try and weed out some thugs. Take the park back for decent people — as it was in the 1970s and 1980s. It’s nothing but a gangsta hangout now; no decent family would go there. And, BTW, that goes for the Ga Dome, too. I’ve had thugs taunting & pawing me at a Falcons game. The trick to Six Flags as with any other theme park is to strategize your visit. Plan your trips early or late during the course of the park’s operating season. Avoid the weekends & holidays at all cost. Arrive early when the park opens and leave before the park closes. Pack a lunch or get your hand stamped, leave the park (waste $15) grab lunch and come back. As with any scenario, its a numbers game. Go during off-peak times and you deal with less crowds, less lines, less baggy dressed employees and less undesireables. Does that make sense? Have fun.

HHHMMMM, I must have been at a different Six Flags last summer with my 17 year old. I took the day off from work, and we went down there, just the two of us. We had a blast. There were NO lines, NO Thugs (that I saw) and we road ride after ride, after ride. The longest we stood in line was 25 minutes for Thunder River. We must have ridden The Cyclone 7 times, the Mind Bender 5, The Scream Machine 4, etc.
We packed sandwiches and waters in a cooler, and about 1:00 we went out and dined in the parking lot. The only thing we bought inside the park, was two bottles of water ($5/each).
She got a season pass, which came with a free adult admission. We had a ton of fun that day!!!!!

Of course thugs have enough money to be at Six Flags constantly. They all live in Section 8 housing, they all have EBT cards and most likely WIC with some girl, their kids are all eating free, and they all get more money from the government than they pay in through all these outrageous credits.
How do you think they can afford a different pair of $150.00 shoes for every day of the week?
Why would they not have any money?

Isn’t is so simple to throw out race and think that you have solved the problem? Such simpletons. The main issue is socio-economic status. Poor trashy white kids act like poor trashy black kids- thugs all around.
The issue is the thug mentality is leaking into the middle class for blacks and whites because they think it is cool to act like thugs thanks to music and entertainment (Grand Theft Auto anyone?).
No excuses just reality. I don’t care what color you are…. I don’t want to deal with trash period. And I would not subject my family to it.

Again, I still want to know why the thugs ruin everything? Examples? Clayton County schools (the board), Grady, Atlanta PD, DeKalb PD, the city of Atlanta, Six Flags, Buckhead, etc. You can bring out the “racist” card but all I have done is spoken the truth.
To Chris
I understand why you would say that. But that goes for anybody, not just black or minorities period. Because i’m black myself and i’m disgusted by the comments that i’m reading. I agree with everyones comments including yourself but don’t pull out the race card. There is ignorance in all races. I was dying to take my family to six flags this summer but now since i’ve read the comments, i’d rather take my family to Disney world as well!
As with the other person that commented about not getting in unless you’re 18 or older and having adult supervision… totally agree!! I remember when my parents would drop us off when we were about 16, but that was 10 years ago and my parents KNEW that they had some well behaved children because of how they raised us. The parents today know good and well that they aren’t involved in their children’s lives and know how disrespectful they are, so that’s why they choose to drop them off and let them be society’s problem then to raise them better. Because the parents want their freedom and they still want to party themselves that they don’t have time and don’t care to raise their children themselves. Same issue with the malls. My husband and I used to love taking a stroll through the mall on a Friday night just to get out the house with or without our children. But you see nothing but wild disrespectful teens (black, white, chinese, mexican)and as soon as I get in the soooner i’m ready to leave! I had to give one of those boys the eye because he was yelling in the mall at the top of his lungs standing right behind me. I told my husband to stop and let these kids pass because I was about to say something to this little boy, and i said it so he could hear me. And I also said how rude he was!! And you know what he did… he shut up! Because he realized by my comments, that he wasn’t cute or funny. And I guess him hearing this coming from another young (but older than himself) person, I guess it got to him???
Sorry so long, I just had to vent a little bit.

Yes, big hangout for rude and obnoxious kids. Probably won’t go, also not worth my money to go, because can’t ride the rides. For people who can’t ride, they should pay a small admission. As a native of eastern PA, the best amusement park is Knoebels, free parking, free admission, top notch rides, great food, great entertainment. They do have ride passes to purchase for those who ride rides, also ride tickets. If ever in Pennsylvania, it is worth the trip to spend a day at this park.

Ready for a day at Six Flags? Let’s go through the check list:
Gum everywhere? Check!
Outrageous parking fee? Hell yea.
GANGS of thugs roaming the park? Yup.
Offensive Jesus t shirts and rednecks every ten steps? Yes.
Annoying giant rubber balls being dribbled on your ankles by said gangs? Yes.
Litter everywhere? Check!
Employees strung-out, rude and half asleep? Yes.
Coasters not running more than one train? Got it.
Coasters not running at all? That, too.
Ridiculously over-priced cold and flavlorless slop masquerading as food? Yup, served with a smile!
And these days you might get your ass kicked for asking for directions from a park employee.
Save your hard earned money and hit a Disney, Busch or Cedar Fair park. SFOG sucks. This is terrible ghetto park. Only go if your boss gets free tickets and pawns them off on you.

It doesn’t matter to me whether the “thugs” are Black or White. Obnoxious is obnoxious, regardless of color and if I’m paying 40 bucks a ticket to entertain my family, I don’t have the time or the patience to deal with it. And if a place isn’t clean, then it’s just an outward sign that the customer service is going to be bad as well. I hope that someone sends all of these comments to Six Flags management. If they won’t attend to these problems, they might as well close it down because I can tell you after reading all of this they won’t be seeing me or my family around there. All the advertising in the world doesn’t make up for poor word of mouth.

We’re using the word “thug” when a more apt term would be “delinquent”. This metro area has a serious delinquent problem, and we’ve all tiptoed around it too long.
I think the poster who suggested Six Flags triple the admission price is absolutely correct. Also correct is the poster who said the park is stuck, just like a Clayton County homeowner, in a terminally-ill geographic location.

To the poster named White: Thug is not another name for the N Word. No one is implying that or saying it. Thug is a term to describe a rude, uneducated, foul mouthed, most likely unemployed person. It can be any race, it can be any gender. Don’t be so defensive. No one is talking about your childen. We ae talking about the kids that hang out at Six Flags and ruin it for everyone. I bet you could ask the mother of the boy who was severely beaten there last summer and is still recovering, what kind of people beat her son and she will tell you. It was not the families that were visiting the park that day that beat him beyond recognition. See the truth and accept the truth. Stop making excuses for unacceptable behavior. I am sorry if the people of your race commit the most crime. It is not your fault but it is simply the truth.

It is funny that the people yelling racism, etc. The people on here are saying the same thing that Marvin Arrington and Bill Cosby are saying. The black community needs to come back together as a group, and realize that we are making some huge mistakes. We allow our kids to run around embracing the wrong things. It is not cool to shoot somebody because they disrespect you or step on your shoes. It is not cool to use foul language and degrade women. Like I have told many young men, would you be happy if somebody was calling your mother a “b” or “h” or anything like that? Do you think that it is okay for some young woman to be shaking her blurred buttocks on the television screen? How many young white women do you see doing that? Yet, we (yes, I am black, African-American)embrace it. It is cool to throw wads of money at a young lady and treat her like a prostitute. But I digress.
Six Flags needs to clean up. For the price, it is ridiculous. It looks like an old Wal-Mart in a small, country town.

It is a sad case that Six Flags has not done its part to make sure the park is safe. However, if anyone can name blacks as the only thugs…then I guess that person forgot his/her HISTORY LESSON. It would seem the KKK/white mobs were/are the THUGS that terroized miniorities for many years. If you are going to NAME any race as THUGS..make sure YOUR HANDS ARE CLEANED FIRST!

It’s always good to come and read the AJC forums to remind me that I live in the good ole south now. The racism and ignorance that pass for intelligence in these forums… WOW.
I agree with some on here - we as a people are messing up big time. Whatever historical reasons that put us here — it’s time to step up and take responsibility for our future.

CGL, you don’t get out much if you think hurtful words, stupidity and racism is limited to Atlanta. Visit blogs around the internet, visit high schools, go to the mall in any city in America.
People think offending others is the new national pastime. The fact is people feel no shame at humiliating others trying to make themselves feel better. The more painful and derogatory and language they can use the better, apparently.
Our society with its internet anonymity has raised a generation of spoiled brats thinking their thoughts, looks, ideas and poorly formed words are the only thing that count.
Marvin Arrington and Bill Cosby are the few in this country speaking the truth, though it’s not just a black thing. These attributes stretch across racial lines.

I love 6 Flags! I grew up in Cobb County and went every year. I am now a 41 year married woman who loves rollercoasters! Luckily so does my husband and several of our friends. Is the park a little dirty. Yes. Are there lots of obnoxious unsupervised minors? Yes (where are there not these days?) But we go with a group of 6, car-pool, chip in for a Q-Bot (n/k/a FlastPass), bring a gigantic picnic lunch & dinner, and we’re golden!

Unfortunately, I will have to agree with some of Chris’ statement regarding black folks—we usually perpetuate are own stereotypes. I live in a condo association and the majority of us are black and I am extremely disappointed in how the lack of supervision and destruction of property has happened in a brand new subdivision (yes, where are the parents, Please!). Some of these folks come from welfare and Section 8 (which are not the best and brightest) where individuals have never had the opportunity to own anything in there entire life due to failure, poverty, or unwillingness to make an effort. On the other hand, I disagree with the statement that “white folks” in charge are the only people who can “run things”. This statement reads like a delusion of granduer and race has no bearing on who is the smartest or superior. I believe “white folks” are able to manage and sustain better jobs and living conditions because they have an edge which is money and influence that allows them better opportunities i.e. education, healthcare, decent neighborhoods, etc. Money is power and it’s not what you, it’s who you know that gets you in the game so please spare me the “I am smarter because I am white routine” ridiculousness. Yes, black folks have a lot to work on but we still have discriminatory policies and practices that we deal with in daily life. But I also believe that you must make the change in behavior and attitude which can get you further in life—education is the key and it gives you a foundation for growth and prosperity. I don’t care what color you are—everyone is human—and we are entitled to be this—flaws and all. Does this have anything to do with Six Flags—no. But, I definitely see that unhappiness with an established organization and how its managed seems to bring out the worst in people. You want to vent on the Six Flags issue then vent but please don’t use this as an opportunity to “bash” an entire group of people, otherwise, your meaning gets lost in translation.

We’ve been referring to it as “Six Thugs over Georgia” for years. We started going to Carowinds outside of Charlotte 5 years ago and haven’t missed a summer since. Clean, reasonable waits for rides, polite employees and best of all safe and family friendly. With their water park, it’s a great way to spend a weekend.

I have taken a group of 8 girls between the ages of 11 and 13 to Six Flags for the last two years almost every weekend. We have enjoyed each trip, not had any problems with security or lines. Usually I bring food or leave & take them to lunch at a fast foods resturant. My parking has always been $5. I watch my girls. So saying all that my point is that the park will be what you make it. If you don’t want to have fun you won’t. The price change doesn’t really effect me since we all buy season passes and wear them out.

Go to Dollywood. It is fun for kids and resonable. As a person who has been going to Six Flags since I was 6 years old in 1966, it has gone downhill. Dirty, no crowd control, unsafe feeling. I am not sending my 12 and 7 year olds there. Old days the white helmeted security made sure everyone was behaved.

LoL I love how whites LOVE to point out all of the crazy things black people do to society and/or their kids. Did a black person:
1) Drive 700 miles in a diaper to kill someone? 2) Build a HUGE compound full of child brides who were molested? 3) Shoot up two high schools and 32 people on a college campus?. 4) Kidnap a black woman and make her eat dog poop? 5)Drown her four kids in a bathtub and say God told her to do it? 6) Kill a woman, cut her baby out of her womb then say it was hers? 7) Rob hundreds of their employees of savings (ENRON?!)
Don’t get me wrong- black people do crazy stuff too. But when white folks do it- they do it big. So let’s not make this about race okay? I’ve seen redneck children cutting in line, spitting, and cussin’ just as much as black thugs. Get real.

I have worked for both Disney and Six Flags and lets just say Disney wins by a land slide. The parks I worked in were in CA. When I moved to GA I tried to work at WhiteWater but I quit. Why because there a too many kids running the place. Its the same way at Six flag over GA. I hate going there I saw roaches where I get my funnel cake. And the workers seemed as if they could give a flying fudge about anything that was going on. I am done with Six Flags.

What are they thinking? They might as well close the doors now! The last time I went to Six Flags I spent six hours there, rode two rides, waited in line for two other rides that broke down, was pushed over by thieves running from security, was skipped in line while Six Flags employees witnessed and laughed about it, and was yelled at by the “customer service manager” when asked about the safety/security concerns during our visit. Goodbye Six Flags! Bulldoze the place, start over, and create a clean, safe place for families to enjoy. Isn’t that what an amusement park should be????

Y’all are correct. The world is a mess. Blame the lack of leadership for our troubles. I’m a white man raised in Detroit in the 1950s. I moved to Lawrenceville in 1992 and worked for AT&T in Midtown. I watched Atlanta change from a great place to live to it’s current conditions. When Ted Turner owned the Braves, it was America’s team… everybody followed them. Now look at them and the Falcons….both ruined by the misuse of ownership and wasted money. The CEOs, CFOs, and lousy political leadership have ruined every major company in the USA!!!! All major sports are big business run by money hungry owners and played mostly by spoiled, rich, athletes with loyalty only to the almighty dollar!!! The owners of SFOG are no different….they want to rake in the bucks with the least amount of effort! The rich get richer, everybody else suffers. The biggest crooks of all are the credit card companies. The government lets them “LEGALLY” rob all the folks that depend on credit to survive the rising costs and are punished when we are late on a payment!!!! Stop the Black/White/Hispanic bickering. All of us “workers” are being abused by the rich folks that in turn are being protected by the politicians in charge!!!! God help us, because our fellow man really doesn’t give a damn!!

I seriously doubt most of the people who refer to the thugs and other issues have even been to the place in years. Their comments are too generic and do not offer specifics. They only piggyback on previous comments.
Their comments remind me of OTP types who hate anything inside the perimeter. Some of the comments lead me to believe they have never visited the park. They mention the park as being in a rough area but most people only go from their car in the Six Flags parking lot to the entrance and do not take a stroll through the neighborhood. The neighborhood comments do not make sense and lead me to believe posters of similar ideology are feeding off one another without witnessing the problems or concerns first hand.
At least be honest in your comments and stop making generic, non-firsthand comments.

6 Flags for $40? What a $!#$%^# joke!! A typical day at 6-flags is just a bunch of typical atlanta thugs looking for trouble. The park is dirty, food and parking overpriced and the rides are mediocre. They should close that eyesore down—but then the 6-flag thugs will be doing drive bys instead.

Deja Vu wouldn’t be a previous poster’s favorite ride if the shoulder harness unlocked just as the ride began as it did with me last summer. It was rather disconcerting (terrifying) to be hanging there with just the canvas strap actually holding me into the seat. Afterward, I informed the teenage ride operators of the problem. They did nothing.
That said, the rest of the day was great and I’ll go again this summer. While some of the young punks are annoying, the real crime is $15 to park. Geez.

Six Flags maybe full of young blacks that have to grow up. So they have the mentality of “if you disrespect me, then I’m going to disrespect you”…not an innocent bystander. Not excusable, but I understand. Disney World is ful of OLD WHITE MEN dressed up as Mickey and Tiger that molest kids! Which would you prefer?

A better operating suggestion. Keep the $10.00 and do not build a new ride for 3 years.Purchase a state of the art camera security system that can monitor rides, crowds, etc. Hire effective security officers to enforce strict codes of behavior.
Maybe then the part will attract the right element and increase their profit margin.

Getting back on the topic of prices. People always find a way to make an argument about race, which I think is irrelevant to the discussion of Six Flags changing their prices. I do agree that the tickets for Six Flags Theme Parks are too expensive. Paying for the admission tickets, parking, food, and beverages really add up especially for a family. I am an Atlanta native and I currently attend UCF in Orlando. Although Disney parks are more expensive I do agree with some that these parks are more family oriented…

Most of the comments on this blog are right on. I am a native, born and raised in Marietta. Six Flags is one of greatest childhood memories. Atlanta as a whole is the black mecca. Therefore everything (Government, restaurants, entertainment and most importantly, our schools are run by blacks) and I totally agree with a previous blogger, they ruin everything they have contact with. I work in a industry where I have a lot of contact with new residents of the area, Most of them are black and they always comment on how nice it is here. Yeah, It’s nice here because you all (Naggerz) have’nt f*ed it up yet. I have two school age children and can’t wait to get them out of the area (Kennesaw) because it is being overun as well by the cancer that we call blacks. AMEN!!!!!!!

I absoultuley agree that thugs are bringing down many neighborhoods, malls, parks, etc. But you do realize that thugs come from ALL races and backgrounds. Since you mentioned the race card, I want you to answer this question: In your small mind, are all thugs of a particular race? If so, which one? I challenge you to answer that question honestly. Since you mentioned the race card, I want you to answer this question: In your small mind, are all thugs of a particular race? If so, which one? I challenge you to answer that question honestly. Then you decide if you “pulled the race card” . If you are going to make an ignorant statement don’t try and smooth it over towards the end. Say it clear as day so that we all know for sure that you’re a dumb a**. Y.B.

To Mighty Whitey
THUG LIFE-translation is THE HATE YOU GIVE LITERALLY INFECTS F*ING EVERYONE! Get a life dude. Every time there is a blog in the AJC it always comes down to black people doing something to ruin it for the white people. How is it that everything wrong in this city is our fault?White people never do anything wrong huh? They are just perfect. Last I checked you are free to do what you want, so if six flags is so bad don’t go.

Now back to the SixFlags issue, it is about time for the price drop. I agree that Six Flags in way over priced for what it offers. The younger crowd is out of control and security does not manage them well. I have no idea what kind of rules they could put in place that would be fair and just, but they need to do something. I loved Six Flags back in my younger days I hate that is going to the pits. Maybe they should look at other successful them parks to get some tips on how to improve the park.

Who were the first thugs in America? Maybe the ones that stole the land from the Indidans. Or were the first thugs the ones that decided to go to Africa to steal people. Or was it the ones that conspired against and killed minorities while lying and distorting the facts about why. Chris, you are the worst thug in the worst way…I think your face should pop up when you google thug!

Unfortunately what most of people have said about us is true. We have agov’t that don’t care about our community or schools, they actually spend more money building up other countries who citizens don’t like Americans. Some of us thugs know that we are not liked so every chance we get we have a real laugh about making you people feel uncomfortable. Generally we don’t mess with nobody but you always have a few who say or do things like others in this blog which cause us to “handle our business”. I can’t tell you the number of times my white friends have called me to buy drugs or they needed a situation handled. Hey? What are friends for? I have decided that at our next THUG meeting when the question is asked “where do we go now?” I am going to answer all the new places some of you have listed in this email just to make your more miserable. So thank you for our new tourist destinations. Remember you can run but you can’t hide. Remember 2 things in life are definite…. BIRTH and DEATH.. After your death where will you spend eternity since you are judging me and my friends against your perfect self. Remember we all have to answer for all our sins and let me tell you.. there is no such thing as good sin vs. bad sin. See you soon!!!!!

Yeah, Chris & Michael…who forced the Blacks/African-Americans to come to this country, and invited all the Hispanics & Asians anyway? Who told them they could have freedom to shop in the same stores, drink from the same water fountains, eat in the same restaurants, live in the same neighborhoods, and go to the same amusement parks as the [white] man? And how dare they earn enough money to afford a Six Flags ticket! White people barely have a chance for a good life anymore due to all the [Hispanic] immigrants, [Black] thugs, and [Asian] gangs. Cause surely none of you are talkig about the WHITE suburbans trying to ACT like urbanites by listening to their music, dressing like them, talking like them, and hanging out in their circles, right? I’m glad you all are too afraid to go anymore. Maybe they’ll shut Six Flags down & move it out of that area…Six Flags doesn’t contribute any thing to that community any way! And once Six Flags is shut down, we should demand that immigrant and his/her descendants go back to where they came from…including all the Europeans & Irish! Because the Native Americans/Indians are the only ones who have a right to complain about what’s happening to THEIR country!
