What do you think of Clinton win?

Sen. Hillary Clinton won Pennsylvania and is back in the game. What do you think of the victory? Will it make a difference in the long run? What is your prediction for the next few weeks?

I’m glad she did well in PA. The longer the dems are fighting it out the better for John McCain. I’m still waiting to hear whether Bob Barr is going to run as a Libertarian. I might just go with him!

I don’t think it is surprising that Clinton won in PA. I think the surprising factor is that Obama got as many votes as he did considering PA is full of elderly people that haven’t made their way to Florida yet. That seems to be Clinton’s fan club. I don’t think it will make a difference in the long run except to divide the Democratic party when we really need to be united. I predict Obama will win the nomination because we cannot stand another four years of a republican in the white house and Clinton is just a Republican masquerading as a Democrat. It’s sad that the New York Times was forced to support Clinton when the editors really wanted to throw their weight behind Obama, but we all know who controls the New York Times.

Go Hillary!!! If the real truth behind all of the subterfuge were to come to light, both Dems and GOPs would be overwhelmed. (There is way too much to debate on in this limited forum.) Clinton is the only Dem that can beat McCain. When it boils down to it, after 8 years, anyone but a Republican is great. I’ll vote whichever way it goes but I will always believe that Clinton has the better experience and the ability in comparison to Obama.

Let’s see, how do we decide?

  1. A lawyer whose wife is also a female dog and a lawyer.
  2. A female dog who is also a lawyer and married to a lawyer.
  3. A senile man with melanoma.

This has to be the worst choice since 2004 which itself was the worst choice since 2000. Anyone see a pattern here?

Hillary didn’t win, Obama lost PA because of:

1)Rev. Wright 2)”Bitter Americans” 3)”Typical white person” 4)”Finally proud to be an American”

If she comes back to win the nomination, there will be hell to pay within the party. Democratic blood will be in the streets. But, on the other hand, she will be beholden to no one in the party either.

I am beginning to think if Clinton does win the nomination, the dems have a better than 50/50 shot at beating McCain.

OB is not electable anymore. If the general election had been held just a month, he might have won. But the more we find out about him, the less chance he has against McCain.

The ridiculous $250 million that he and his shadowy backers have raised would have been better spent on helping the African-American community instead of wasted on this charade of a candidacy…but of course this is a race about the ego of a man who has no business running for president, backers who want to feel good about themselves and relieve their white guilt, and so called cultural icons like Oprah Winfrey and others who are disingenious, downright racist and frankly frauds. For all you Hillary fans, let’s think past the Democratic Primaries. It’s not about who’s the better candidate to go against McCain it’s the better candidate to represent the US when dealing with other countries. We need someone that’s able to talk with the leaders of other countries and large corporations and negotiate to bring our soldiers home, bring jobs back to the US, lower gas prices etc. There are countries won’t even talk to Hillary because she is a woman and they don’t respect women. So what do we do with countries like that? Nuke’em??? Let’s get real, if by some MIRACLE Hillary does win the nomination we’re looking at another republican for 4 years. Do you know what that’s going to do to the country?

By The Troof

Why must we keep pretending, this Democratic primary has been about nothing ALL ALONG but race?? We must we keep lying to ourselves?? Last night on CNN I constant saw baffled looks on the faces of the commentator not being able to explain some of the demographics when it’s staring right in front of our faces.

The Clintons and the Right have done an excellent job of reminding white america that..”better be careful, you’re about to put a Black man in office!!” What have they really had on Obama from the beginning?? No corruption scandals, no sex scandals, no hidden criminal past. So what did they do inject a pastor’s comments into the race to scare the hell out of whites and it worked. And you tell me a “bitter” comment makes him unsuitable??

I challenge any of you out here to lose your job or your home and not be downright p** off; yes.. BITTER!! Everyone knows the comment was spun(well smart people at least).

So.. whites flock to vote for Hilary and Blacks overwhelmingly support Obama. What else is it?? Nothimg period. Barack wanted no part of it, but Bill Clinton (who has done nothing but use Black people from the beginning) went back to his Southern roots and threw race into it. People suddenly forget that Barack has 50% white blood in his body.

Hilary wins after all the dirty tricks and I like many other Blacks will be voting for McCain -I DON’T CARE. It doesn’t make much difference anyway if we have either of those two clowns in office. We’re screwed either way. I just hope Black people as a whole dumps the Democratic Party.

Obama does not trust nor like white people and holds them in total disregard.

Obama is full of self-hatred because he is half white and half black.

Obama is not proud to be an American.

Obama is a chain smoking, 3 pack a day guy.

He has a Muslim sounding name.

His children say he is “smelly” when he wakes up in the morning.

He has big ears.

There is just something about him that I can’t quite put my finger on that makes me believe he is on the down low.

I also find it interesting that black people have overwhelmingly turned their backs on the Clintons—when just a few years ago Bill was known as the first black president-whats up with that?

Why has the democratic party totally disenfranchised the entire states of Florida and Michigan. Millions of the peoples votes will not be counted.

To The Troof, you’re absolutely right about them trying to throw the kitchen sink at Obama. For all those that are not aware of what they are trying to do, research the web on Rev Wright and his history and you will find something like this: “From 1959 to 1961, Wright attended Virginia Union University,[1] in Richmond. Inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s 1961 challenge to “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country,” Wright gave up his student deferment, left college and joined the United States Marine Corps and became part of the 2nd Marine Division with the rank of private first class. In 1963, after two years of service, Wright then transferred to the United States Navy and entered the Corpsman School at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, where he graduated as valedictorian.[6] Having excelled in corpsman school, Wright was then trained as a cardiopulmonary technician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where he graduated as salutatorian.[6] Wright was assigned as part of the medical team charged with care of President Lyndon B. Johnson (see photo of Wright caring for Johnson after his 1966 surgery). Before leaving the position in 1967, the White House awarded Wright three letters of commendation.” So why didn’t the press tell us about this???? Obama’s giving us the chance to take Washington BACK.

If Bob Barr runs, maybe HE’LL become the first Black president. LOL.

I like Obama, I just feel it’s too early for him. Maybe in 8 years. Also, I don’t want Obama to be the one left to clean up this mess Bush has put our country in. Bush is truly the worst president ever. “1/20/09: The End of an Error.”

I’ve never been a fan of Hillary’s, but under Bill’s presidency, the country was doing great! So having him back in the WH would be a good thing. Tho’ he has showed his butt lately (and he lost out on a treat I had for him [LOL]).

I hate to see what has happened in the Dem race, however. We were on track to win over whatever republican ran, cuz God knows, they have made a MESS of things. But Hill and Barack need to close this out and soon.

OH!! And that those wicked republicans would actually SEEK to derail the political process with their “operation chaos,” shows their aberrant, hateful spirits. Rush Limbaugh must be an unhappy man, as he spends at least three hours a day complaining and scheming and spewing hate. Sad—he and the people who worship him.

Now the Superdelegates need to be convinced that Hillary is the best one for the job. It is too bad that the candidates are not being judged on how well they can do the job but how they identify with a certain demographic. This is shown by Obama winning 95% of the black vote in Pennsylvania. They think just because he is half black he is going to set the world on fire for african americans. Truth is a President is working for America, not just African Americans. Congress is the active law making body. The president implements the actions of congress. The court makes sure those laws are adhered to. John Lewis bowed to pressure. I hope the other superdelegates have a backbone.

I do feel that Hillary’s win in PA, combined with her other large states victories, is a big playing card and gives the feel that Barack is unelectable in the general election (though that may not be true). I think yesterday was a turning point, ‘cuz he hasn’t been able to close the deal and knock her out even when she’s truly been down. Either she needs to truly win the popular vote in every state hereafter, to win it outright, or we’re going to have an ugly convention, if left to the super delegates. Dang. Not good.

I am very disappointed with Clinton’s “win.” Her speech was really sickening to me. It is clear that to Clinton it all about “Me.” She is more interested in just being President and “winning” than she is in actually changing anything. Listen to her closely and watch her face, her tone of voice. A massive ego out of control. Just like her husband. Her speech is all about her and the campaign and less about issues and ideas. I am a yellow dog Democrat and I will vote for her if she is the nominee but I won’t expect much of a Clinton Administration. She and Bill are a solid part of the establishment. She won’t make much change. She will sit in Washington and gloat, just tickled that she is the first woman president and just happy as heck to be there. America is really ripe for a Socialist government. The Democrats and Republicans and committed to the power structure in this country. It is time for a government of, by and for the people. Don’t expect that from the mainstream and particularly Hillary.

To the Dirty Boys: It’s not about race, it’s about the best candidate. Don’t forget Obama’s mother was a caucasian woman from Kansas. Obama is not just picking up votes from the African American community but also the young voters that are tired of what’s going on in Washington. Do you realize how many of our youth are getting involved now? Have you asked yourself why? Most of the newer generation doesn’t see color as an issue.

The Clinton’s back in office???? Have we so soon forgotten that Bill lied about having sex with Monica and the former employee Paula Jones? He tried to cover it up. What else did they try and cover up. They just got caught with this and almost got impeached. Do you know how bad this made the country look???

“She became the only First Lady to be subpoenaed, testifying before a federal grand jury as a consequence of the Whitewater controversy in 1996. She was never charged with any wrongdoing in this or several other investigations during her husband’s administration. The state of her marriage to Bill Clinton was the subject of considerable public discussion following the Lewinsky scandal in 1998.”

SCANDAL!!!!!!

Do you realize “Hillary Rodham wrote a 92-page senior thesis for Wellesley College entitled “There Is Only The Fight…”: An Analysis of the Alinsky Model.” This paper was sealed when the Clinton’s were in office. It’s a paper on how to tell the people what they want to hear in order to win.

I don’t condone Bill’s dalliances. But whatever he did with Monica—and the [unnecessary] public drama that followed—doesn’t even rate when compared to the DEBACLE and DISGRACE caused by this buffoon, Bush. We, as a country, have lost ALL credibility around the world, to say nothing of the domestic problems we now face; lives lost in a needless war that was ONLY started so Bush could avenge his father. And BC’s sex life was an issue for Hillary; it was none of our business, nor the dogs that hounded him. “To the Dirty Boys: It’s not about race, it’s about the best candidate” — Meliss99

The best candidate in your opinion. 95% of the black vote went to Obama in PA. What other conclusions can be drawn other than race was the facor for blacks?

But like I said earlier, it is okay to vote for him because he is black. But just because he is black does not necessarily make him the best—-or the worst—- candidate.

Nothing wrong with ethnic pride. The Irish and Italians are perfect examples—-they run Boston and New York. Blacks run Atlanta, Detroit, Washington,DC.

You listed a litany of negatives about Clinton, but you don’t list any accomplishments by Obama. What else, other than his race, could be your reason for supporting him? Like I say, that is a very legitimate reason to vote for him.

Don’t ever forget, everything in America is about race—-and the further along we get toward the general election, the more apparent that fact will become. And hey, that is okay too as long as we don’t try to make believe that it is not true!!

We will all get along a hell of a lot better if we are honest about our racial attitudes toward one another and most of all honest to ourselves.

Apparently, a lot of people could not overlook Obama’s equivocations, obfuscations, selective apologies, bald face denials, and political exploits in both the Illinois and U.S. Senates.

But, Obamaniacs can probably count on Howard Dean having some more crap up his sleeve, and they can get this primary rigged once and for all.

Have I mentioned whom I have the utmost contempt for? Nancy Pelosi — impeachment off the table. Harry Reid — FISA yo-yo and coward. Howard Dean — muddles, makes, and breaks primary rules on a whim.

True, under Slick Willy the economy was strong but just like Bill much of it was smoke & mirrors i.e. the Dot Com boom. As you recall, the tech stocks were way over valued and once the illusion of strength turned into the reality of weakness it came crashing down. Big Bad Bill also let the muslim wackos run unchecked,(USS Cole, 1st WTC bombing, etc.)allowing them to grow into the well organized group that attacked on 9/11. Our “respect” around the world only lasted as long as we did nothing to defend ourselves. Further, if we had respect around the world while our President is comitting adultery in the Oval Office what does that say about “their” opinion. I don’t look to the President to keep crime down or the economy up - not his job. Local Governments and Free Enterprise should take care of that. Elect the President you feel will best protect this country and work to reign in government spending (which Bush did not do) and keep taxes in check (which he did) and leave the other tasks to those directly responsible.

Of course, we should not pay attention to Obama’s successes such as these: association with Exelon — elect. util. & nuke waste; association with Rezko — 11 dilapidated properties in district (grants, loans, Fed. tax cred.); association with Auchi — food for oil scams; wife’s pay raise after his election; opposed Feingold’s censure of Bush over wiretaps; rejected Murtha’s call for redeployment; has said Bush doing good job on Iraq; late on attention to Jena, Mississippi; feeble response to mortgage crisis; neglect of European Subcommittee; would meet with Cuba, Iran, North Korea without conditions; voted ‘present’ women’s issues (I doubt explanation — smacks of cowardice again); can only say, ‘oops, I pressed the wrong button’ on questioned votes; has many missed votes in both IL & US senate; has a weaker record on FISA; repeatedly voted for Patriot Act; supported anti-union candidates; relationship with homophobes McClurken and Rev. Caldwell; advocated Social Security privatization; cut money for children’s welfare; takes credit for ethics bill he had little to do with; does not include adults in his health insurance program; skipped out on Iran resolution vote; supported Bush’s feeble energy plan; invoked Reagan era as feel good; besmirched the 90’s successes; besmirched the 60’s movements; owns the ‘Unite Here’ appeal; spokesperson equivocated on NAFTA in Canada; spokesperson equivocated on troop withdrawal in England; tip-toed on edge of lying about not having heard Rev. Wright sermons (and cowardly in not speaking up); voted for Bush’s Class Action Fairness (deprives legal recourse against large corps.); denial of taking money from oil companies; encourage lenders to restructure mortgages (not government regulation); correction for Bush’s tax relief still favors upper incomes; thwarting FL & MI redo on primary

I’m glad she won, and hope she goes on to get the nomination.* And wins the election.* I thought McCain was OK—until I read about all of the crazy right wing ultra conservative Bush/Reagan/Nixon-ite stuff he’sbeen supportive of. (Yes, dangling participle—so sue me.)

Clinton not only is very intelligent—she also is politically saavy. And that is the most important quality a president can have—if he/she wants to accomplish anything.

GO HILLARY!!!!!

I would rather see Clinton win than Obama….

Obama is not for our country…..He will not even pledge the flag…..and his Pastor Dammed our country….and He continues to stand by his site…..God help us if he becomes President….Who is he really? Satan himself….in sheep clothing.

P.S.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE—-

Don’t vote Libertarian. Don’t vote for Ralph Nader.

You’re only throwing your vote away.

You’re not making a statement. Believe me, no one is paying attention.

All you’re doing is diluting the “voice of the people” results.

So choose the party that most reflects your personal interests and the political views that most reflect your own.

VOTE DEMOCRAT. Or VOTE REPUBLICAN.

But don’t throw your vote away.

Nine black kids were murdered and 37 were shot in violence over this past weekend in Chicago—-Obama has not said one word. This would be a great opportunity to show real leadership where it is needed right in his own hometown.

Why has he not spoken out against the genocide in his father’s homeland Kenya—over 3000 people hacked to death.

Are these issue too black for him and he is afraid that the white vote he needs to win will see him as black issues candidate? Or are these problems too difficult for him to handle? Or maybe he is an elitist and doesn’t give a rat’s ass about gang bangers shooting it up in his hometown or about the poor, uneducated peasants in his fatherland?

No me thinks he rather rub elbows with the rich white folk. Black folks especially are going to be very disappointed by the Great Black Hope if wins the election.

I am counting on Hillary running all the way. I hope she does so that the Dems will lose in November. The popular spin is that gas prices are rising because of corporate greed. Just think about it. We have raised the minimum wage. That is the cause of our economy being so bad. Raising the minumum wage always causes problems with regular working people. I am sorry that some chose to sleep through school but they chose that path. As far as Obama being electable, do you not remember when he said that he will pull the troops out of Iraq and will stop the genocide. Hey, there is not reportable genocide in the US so I surmise that he will pull the troops out of Iraq and place them in Darfur. But, if Hillary should win the election, I can live with that as I think she will be a peaceful President. She is at least an American.

Ask yourselves - why is it that the Republicans are coming out in droves giving money to Sen. Clinton’s campaign? They want her to run against McCain.

Word has it - they have a video of Hillary in a very compromising position and they are going to use it if she is the nominee.

They don’t have anything except people he has “come across” in his lifetime (DUH) on Sen. Obama and that are afraid he will win. But Sen. Clinton - they are waiting on her with open arms. If you thought Ken Starr was bad for the Clintons, you haven’t seen anything yet. They have truly saved the best for last. Hillary, Bill and Chelsey will be glad to get the HE$$ out of politics when the Republicans get through with them.

I guess this is what everyone wants - NOT ME. Let the Republicans and the Clintons duke it out on someone else’s stage - I WANT CHANGE for a change.

I dont count Hillary as a winner in PA when she was 20+ points ahead six weeks prior to the primary and won by 10 points. I am concerned however by the rethoric and tone the campaign has taken in the last several weeks. I beleive that the rethoric of the past several weeks endanger the democrates chances in the general and this should be unacceptable to both candidates. I likewise beleive that Obama represents a necessary paradigm shift which this country is in desperate need of. Over the course of our history someone seems to come around who charts a new, positive direction-we had it in the 30’s with Franklin Roosevelt, 60’s with Kennedy and I beleive now with Obama. We are a country whose basic infrastructures are collapsing, who is involved in a war with no viable end insight and whose good opinion around the globe has diminished. It is time for a drastic change in direction, focus and objectives/priorities and I beleive Obama can accomplish it.

I once heard it said that the way you look at things determine what you see. Why is everyone saying that Clinton won big. Cliton was supposed to win PA. However, Clinton was ahead I heard by 33 points at one time, yet she only won by less than ten point(I believe 9.2 points). I guess it how you want to spin it.

Over 1 million people in PA voted for Obama. 1.2 million for Clinton. But if the General Election were held tomorrow Obama would get all of his votes, but 300,000 people who voted for Clinton would go back to being Republican. Her victory is hollow and full of those who resent Obama. Many of her voter are part of the conservative chaos movement. Hillary doesn’t care if she wins because she is motivated by revenge. Obama has spoiled her coronation. And she is out to punish him.
