Home Depot on right track?

A couple new balls in the air since the Nardelli exit over at Big Orange.

With an investor conference Tuesday, Home Depot lowered its profit outlook for the year, citing a softer housing market and its pending deal to ditch its wholesale supply biz.

Also on tap is a tender offer for 250 million shares under a stock buyback plan.

How’s the big box retailer looking to you now? Think you’ll take it up on its buyback offer, or is this instead a better time to add some more HD to your portfolio?

From a consumer viewpoint, will some of new management’s moves get Big Orange back on the upward track?
