“Breaking Dawn” at midnight

breaking.jpg

Stephenie Meyers’ “Twilight Saga” has not yet reached Harry Potter popularity levels, but it’s getting closer. The fourth book, “Breaking Dawn,” is due out Aug. 2, and has been banging around Amazon’s Top 10 as a pre-order for a long time.

Now I’ve gotten word of the first Potter-style release party scheduled in metro Atlanta. But it probably won’t be the only one by the time we get there. The Barnes & Noble at the Mall of Georgia, 3333 Buford Dr., Buford, is going to have a big “Twilight” theme party the night of Friday, Aug. 1, from 10 p.m. to midnight, when they will start selling the books, just like bookstores did for the last four Potter titles.

In case you haven’t heard, “Twilight” is the story of a regular high school girl and her romance with an immortal vampire. The books are very romantic, but not overtly sexual; aimed at a teen audience, but devoured by women of all ages. The first movie is coming in December, and fans are a bit beside themselves.

A note on the cover: There appears to be more than one cover illustration floating around the Net. This cover above is from Meyer’s own site.

And an important P.S.: A press release from Barnes & Noble says this is the “final book” in the saga. Meyer told me in an interview last year that there would be a fifth book.

Yipee!!!!

ummm preetty sure that there is no 5th book.Theres only four at least from Bella’s perspective and then Midnight Sun from Edward’s and Steph isn’t even going to do the whole twilight series in Edwards point of view just Twilight. So like I said no fifth book it ends at Breaking Dawn.

Sorry if any one got overly excited when they read that part on here, but im pretty sure.

By fifth book, she probably meant one that was not from Bella’s perspective.

This book is slated to be the last one from her point of view; however, she has plans for Midnight Sun, which could still be considered a part of the Twilight Saga although it reigns from Edward’s point of view.

Mall of Georgia? That’s way too far away for me, is there any ones closer to Atlanta?

Don’t freak out just yet everyone. Remember how to breathe. Stephenie has said that breaking dawn is the final book from Bella’s perspective. She is still hoping to publish Midnight Sun after it is finished. It isn’t entirely a part of the twilight saga, because it is not told from Bella’s perspective. Remember, inhale, and exhale.

What do you mean the Twilight saga has not yet reached Harry Potter popularity levels!!!? It definitely has!!

And also, the ‘5th book’ is not a fifth book, it is Twilight from Edward’s POV.

Call your local Barnes & Noble, almost all of them are doing Breaking Dawn midnight release parties.

On a personal note, my wife, our two kids, and I are going to be visiting family up in Idaho. The dates worked out superbly so we’ll be in Seattle the evening of Aug 1. While there, we’re hitting a Barnes & Noble midnight release party, then tripping over to Forks for a a few days to visit all the spots (Forks, La Push, Port Angeles), eat at Bella Italia, and do some hiking in the rainforests.

For all you fans of The Host, on the way up to Idaho we’re going to be visiting Craters of the Moon and exploring their lava tubes, too.

Perfect vacation if you ask me :-)

Comment:I have a copy of the unreleased book ‘breaking dawn’. The inside cover goes like this: WHEN YOU LOVED THE ONE WHO WAS KILLING YOU, IT LEFT YOU NO OPTIONS. How could you turn and run, how could you turn and fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had you would give, how could you not give it?

TO BE IRREVOCABLY IN LOVE WITH A VAMPIRE is both fantasy and nightmare woven into a dangerously heightened reality for Bella Swan. Pulled in one direction by her intense passion for Edward Cullen, and in another by her profound connection to werewolf Jacob Black, she has endured a tumultuous year of redemption, loss, and strife to reach the ultimate turning point. Her imminent choice to either join the dark but seductive world of immortals or pursue a fully human life has become the thread from which the fate of two tribes hangs.

NOW THAT BELLA HAS MADE HER DECISION, a startling chain of unprecedente events is about to unfold with potentially devastating and unfathomable consequences. Just when the frayed strands of Bella’s life-first discovered in ‘Twilight’, then scattered and torn in ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’-seem ready to heal and knit together, could they be destroyed…forever?

THE ASTONISHING, BREATHLESSLY anticipated conclusion to the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.

The fifth book has to be midnight sun. Stephenie Meyer already said like a thousand times that this was the last book from Bella´s point of view. (but not the last as a whole)

The fifth may be twilight re-written in Edwards view. But still that would be nice too.

I hope Breaking Dawn is good. I hope Eddie and Bell end up together and I hope shes a vamp with powers. and i hope they “do it”. I don’t want this to end like Romeo and Juilet!! and I hope Jakey finds his imprint.
