First Look: “Welcome To Dreamland”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
The debut of Peachtree TV reality show “Welcome To Dreamland” has an interesting dilemma.
The Atlanta host (Vawn, pictured in top photo, center) and two local producers (Jazze Pha, right and Drumma Boy, left) competing to develop a female act in mere weeks are just as interesting - if not more - than the eight artists striving for stardom.
Sure there are interesting storylines among the singers - one with seven children; one who’d dropped 150 pounds; and yet another named, well, Leaf. And the snippets we get of their vocal abilities is impressive.
But just hearing the more established Jazze and burgeoning upstart Drumma boast about who’s the best at what they both do— “I am the river from which you flow,” Jazze says to his counterpart — makes you think you’re about to watch a prize fight, rather than yet another reality TV show trying to break another recording act.
(Even the publicity images above, hint at that, don’t they? And check out a YouTube clip of the commercial BELOW) Plan to watch this evening at 10 p.m.? Were you among the thousands vying to be on this show?

Dreamland has excellent BBQ. Houstons has by far the best ribs though.
The picture of the 3 guys above reminds me of lemonparty.org

I think it is perfectly ok for these men to profess their love of their homosexual lifestyles, and how much they like to be together.

Dreamland BBQ is legendary, but the best ribs in Atlanta are at Fat Matt’s Rib Shack on Piedmont Ave.

It bothers me that there is such a negative or synical attitude in Atlanta about anything that someone black wants to do. What is with the thug comment??? Are you really that ignorant to think that all black males that dress in urban wear are thugs? And for all of the BBQ comments, READ the article and you might be informed!!! I for one am very interested in the program. I was at the finale and know both Jazzie and Drumma Boy and think that this is a cool thing! All the haters need to back up. if you dont like it that’s cool but to make such broad sweeping insults as to call these men thugs is wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself for making such an ignorant comment!
