Morrissey Playing Atlanta In March

Morrissey’s “Tour of Refusal” will take its fifth American step here, stopping at the Variety Playhouse March 7.
The onetime Smiths frontman’s world tour is in support of upcoming February release, “Years of Refusal”. And joining him on his nine-city U.S. run will be longtime bandmates Boz Boorer, Jesse Tobias, Matt Walker and Solomon Walker.
Tickets are $50, and will go on sale Friday at Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone at 404-249-6400.
Looking forward to seeing this beloved singer of despair in such an intimate venue? Ever gone to a Morrissey show before? The one at the Tabernacle in 2004, perhaps?

I once saw Morrissey on back-to-back nights when I lived in California, at the Hollywood Bowl years ago. He usually does a great show, if not sometimes short. Used to really like him, but haven’t stayed as much on top of his music lately. I may go but the $50 seems kind of steep.
