Reunited LaBelle Playing Atlanta In February
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Time to get your “itchy gitchy ya-yas” going.
(Or however that was spelled in French).
Not only has the pioneering funk-rock ensemble with the hit “Lady Marmalade” (“itchy gitchy”) put out its first CD together in 32 years (“Back To Now”), but starting next month Labelle is hitting the road — with a Feb. 14 date at the Atlanta Civic Center.
Excited? Remember Sarah Dash, Nona Hendryx and Patti LaBelle from their first time around as Labelle? (If not, see the YouTube clips of them performing “What Can You Do For Me” in 1974, then “Lady Marmalade” BELOW) Heard “Back To Now”?

Ok kids, sit down and shut up now, adults are talking. WE like to see acts back together that we liked when we were young and stupid like you are now Tommy and MikeD. When you grow up, you too will understand (unless you really ARE as mind dead as you appear. Personally I doubt it, probably just the stupidity of youth speaking and we all suffered from that, most of us outgrew it.)
They aren’t getting back together for you, they are getting back together for us. And we will enjoy it.

What Can I Do For You, one of my all-time favorites. I still remeber when I bought the 8-track. That Nightbirds album was it. Then seeing my girl Nona move on with George Clinton and the crew.
