BET Hip-Hop Awards ‘08: The Afternoon After
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Atlanta producer Sean Garrett (above) hosted a private brunch Sunday at The Ellis on Peachtree, one of the few remaining activities put together to capitalize on having the BET Hip-Hop Awards in the city this weekend.
Among those enjoying made-to-order omelets, maple-glazed salmon and Moet mimosas were R&B veteran Keith Sweat, producer Jazze Pha, “Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Sheree Whitfield, designer Mychael Knight, 95.5 The Beat’s Murph Dawg and CJ, burgeoning Atlanta talent Fiona Simone and DJ Infamous on the turntables.
Garrett — also a solo act in his own right — has had success with Usher (“Yeah!”), Ciara (“Goodies”), Destiny’s Child (“Soldier”) and its most prominent solo member, Beyonce (“Upgrade U,” “Check On It”).
Were you at the brunch? Make it to any of the BET-related parties/events this past weekend?
