Everything was Invented by a Black man?? HAHA…. ever heard of Thomas Edison? Or perhaps Albert Einstein? Did you know that in the 50’s the asians did a study on brains. And found that on average….(theres always exceptions to the rule) that Asians brains were 15% bigger than whites, and Whites brains were 15% bigger than Blacks.

Explains why Japan has all the new technology 10 years ahead of the US, why America was built into the worlds top superpower (led by white men), and why there STILL playing with sticks and mud huts down in Africa and raping virgins to cure their AIDS!

White people like me…. dont hate all black pple. In fact i find african blacks to be nicer and have more family values than american blacks.

I think it is rediculous that someone who does not even like the main article would have to write a comment about it. Whats the reason for reading something that has no interest to you…except to bash it? I am a White male, and i happen to find rap music and hip-hop music very likable. It is not just a music for black americans. And i would love for any country, rock, alternative artist to try and pick up a mic and find a rhyme of the top of their heads and carry it on for a few minutes. There is plenty more to rap music than the bashers believe. And it is probably the most real, meaningful music you can find for alot of people. Unlike country, where they sing about their big trucks, beer and tobacco, or their girlfriend breaking up with them. Atleast with alot of rap artists they are trying to show people that you can become something if you start your life in a bad neighborhood or what not. Its not all negative music about drugs sex and killing people.

And this article had nothing to do with politics, so why bring it up. There are plenty of blacks that will not vote obama, and there are plenty of whites that will.

I’d actually like to comment on the article. I’m loving the selection of performers. Damn good mix! Russell Simmons is legend. And I can only hope Lil Wayne wears the same small amount of clothing that he did at the MTV music awards. Wish I could go to the live show! As for the rest of you, ya’ll have definitely digressed. BET as a network is not a good channel anyway. I think every since former owner Bob Johnson sold BET to Viacom the network has went down the wrong route I stop watching it because the shows that get displayed on it usually are horrible shows and not good for kids and teens.

What’s really a terrible representation of this city is this newspaper.They make stories like this front page news,try to make people think that thugged out black america is widescreen,mainstream cooool culture.The in,chic,upbeat,in stride way to live. Rap music is full of violence,magnifies extreme greed,totally degrades women,and displays some of the absolute goofiest clothing,outfits,hats,jewelry on this planet.A`majority of people that wear this stuff,follow this scene are uneducated,anti compliant with our laws,and live in a culture that is negative. If the AJC wants to give front page coverage to black america or black Atlanta,why not show photo galleries of blacks in higher education,the arts (ballet,symphony,opera)or hollywood ? We all like looking at photos of Halle Berry,Jada Pinkett,Will Smith,Blair Underwood,Boris Kojoe,Denzel Washington,all very classy with a great sense of style.(I can’t think of any from the other arts). Instead this newspaper chooses to glorify old and tired civil rights figures,and the rap music industry. This newspaper glorifies trash entertainment and trash social issues,lives in the past.

ok i think the statement from the ajc was THE BET AWARDS ARE RETURNING TO ATLANTA, Did you watch it? & What you think about it? OKKKKKKKKK, It was great and is’t giving atl. a chance to show sign of being in the lime light of televison. shows like the MTV awards,the country music awards,the american music awards and non rap/hip-hop awards are mainly done on the east/west coast,new york or mid-state. But yes it is good to see it’s back again and it will be good a big company like BET tape shows in the south like atlanta and yes you are going to hear a lot of GO OBAMA,VOTE OBAMA So get ready. Its really distrubing that it 2008 and we are still be referenced as niglets. Lets be mature and it keep the name calling to ourselves. The articles is about the rewards and that should be the topic of discussion. And yes rap can be violent along with all other types of music, but lets not forget about the other seminars that are coming along with this hip hop weekend.
