Video Countdown To Janet’s Arrival In Atlanta - Day Two
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Assuming her Atlanta date this weekend is still happening (though she was rushed to the hospital yesterday) we will continue with our daily video countdown to part-time Atlantan Janet Jackson’s homecoming (of sorts) this Sunday at Philips Arena.
BELOW is a YouTube post of boyfriend/Atlanta music mogul Jermaine Dupri visiting one of her rehearsals.
Already got your ticket? (If not, click HERE ). Think she may be pregnant? (She did tell the Atlanta Music Scene that a baby with Dupri was “coming”. See the whole post HERE ).

Meet And Greet Usher (For $145, Minimum)
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Only three days remain for you to put in your bid HERE for the Usher Premium Seat Meet and Greet Auction.
Hadn’t heard of it?
Well you did know that Atlanta’s R&B superstar was planning an intimate, “ladies only” tour, right? Well he’s set a date in his hometown — Nov. 10 at the Tabernacle — and just in case the $101 and $126 for regular tickets is just pocket change to you, again, an auction is going on at the Ticketmaster site, where the winner gets premium seats in the downtown venue, and entry into a “meet and greet” with Usher, as well as an “exclusive” sound check party.
And last we checked, the minimum bid price was $145.
Have you thrown your name (and wallet) into the hat? Think such an opportunity would be worth it? Surprised that Usher’s even doing this? (Oh, and by the way, the promoter says all genders are actually welcome).

“100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs” Includes 9 Atlanta Acts
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Is it better to come in at No. 99 on VH1’s “100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs” list than to not be included at all?
We’ll let Atlanta’s Lil Jon (above) & The East Side Boyz (featuring the Ying Yang Twins) ponder that ranking for “Get Low”, as we share the remainder of local acts in the “100”.
Oh - before we do that, the reason VH1 is doing this is it is part of its daily countdown this week, concluding with “VH1 Hip Hop Honors” (which actually happens Thursday, but airs Oct. 6).
OK, drumroll please for the Atlantans
(And what’s with all of the 8’s?)
No. 1 “Fight The Power,” Public Enemy
No. 23 “B.O.B.”, OutKast (who are scheduled to be profiled on the televised countdown Thursday).
No. 48 “One Love,” Nas
No. 58 “What’s Your Fantasy,” Ludacris featuring Shawnna
No. 67 “Feel So Good,” Mase
No. 68 “What You Know,” T.I.
No. 78 “Tennessee,” Arrested Development
and again, “Get Low” at 99.
See the complete list HERE; videos for Numbers 81-100 HERE and then weigh in on where your favorites fell (or perhaps, didn’t get included at all).
