BET Hip Hop Awards Returning to Atlanta

The nominees for the third annual BET Hip Hop Awards have been announced, as well as the city it will be in — Atlanta.

The show will be Oct. 18 at the Atlanta Civic Center, and will air Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. .

The best-selling artist thus far, this year, Lil Wayne (above), leads the nominees with 12. Kanye West is up for seven and Jay-Z follows with six. And among the Atlantans up for BET Hip Hop Awards are Big Boi, Ludacris, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, Nas, Akon, Shawty Lo, Rocko, Yung Berg, V-103’s Greg Street, DJ Drama, DJ Toomp, Bangladesh, Young Jeezy, Yung Joc and yes, the man of the hour last year, T.I. .
