I thought the show was great! I really enjoyed it. I saw a few people that I know on there as well. Also, the song “Still Standing” is HOT!! I definitely think Monica should release it as a single.

Monica, The Single. The show was beyond great like Monica herself! I really like the song. It was interesting to see how it all comes together, family life included. All Monica has to do is STAY TRUE to her fans, sound and her heart and she’ll always be a star!! I respect & love Monica the entertainer!

I didn’t like the show, but I DID like the song “Still Standing.”

I think that she should leave J Records and go somewhere else. It just doesn’t seem like they are a good fit for her artistically at this time.

The show was awesome…Monica is a very talented woman and deserves to be on top. Her voice is amazing. I love the way she handles herself and situations…I would watch this show over and over again…STILL STANDING is her testimony and i’m def gonna be getting the new album when it comes out!!

I truly enjoyed the show. I thought Monica really exemplified what it means to be a true woman of Atlanta. She was as real as it gets. Monica wasn’t superficial like the groupies in the clubs or the ones living the glamorous lifestyle. She kept it 100 and I love her for that.

Sweetlove, thanks for the correction. I guess she’s an urban yodeler then? Some urban yodelers can actually sing, while others just hollar & over-stretch notes & lyrics and end up butchering the songs (alotta that on American Sheeple…er, Idol). In the way of female singers, I prefer some good ol’ Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee or Dottie West. Karen Carpenter also had a wonderful voice/talent.

Monica! Where do I start? As a fan since the begining, I have to say I am TRULY proud of the woman you have become. I have watched you go thru so much in the last 15 years and although youre simply a friend in my head, Ive prayed for you and cried w/ u throughout it all. My life has been filled w/ ups and downs as well and your faith/courage in God has helped me weather many storms. Still Standing the single represents where I am in my life as well and through it all, Im still standing. This song deserves to be released as the single. People NEED to hear this, so many will be able to relate to it.

The reality show was awesome. It gave us true fans what we have always wanted. A look into your home life and who you really are as a person. It was great and I cant wait for the spin off. Monica despite all the hate thrown your way, your fans love you and want to see you back on top. Dont give up! Promote the hell out of that album and single. We love you Mo. LOVED the show. LOVED the song. HATED the Ludacris interlude. That angry monologue ruined the whole vibe of the tune. I was really grooving with it up ‘til that point.

Monica, if you release that single, PLEASE do a second version without Ludacris!

The show was very good. I liked seeing her as a hands on mommy, interacting with her family and working in the studio. I cried when she told her family what they meant to her right before they blessed the food. It was very heartfelt. I liked how the producer first played the beat to Still Standing and she wasn’t feeling it at first and then it all came together when he added the words. She cried and I cried. I love the vibe between her and Dallas Austin. I also felt her shock and disappointment when she went to the record label with the song and he didn’t feel the song was all that. I agree with NY2GA she should go to another label. They have clearly outgrown one another.

I loved the show because aside from being great exposure for the upcoming record. It showed Monica finding herself musically and redefining who she is and where she stands in the industry and she accomplished her goal! She displayed her family and private life as well as showed the process of making another #1 single. I enjoyed seeing Dallas and Monica reconnect!

On another note, I really enjoyed the show and the song Still Standing is FIYAH!!!!!!. I cried twice myself, especially when Lil Rocko started to cry when he wanted to ride with mama. Can’t wait for the new album, 08/09 is Monica’s year.

I love the new single “Still Standing” I absolutely ADORE Monica!!! I’ve been a fan since her FIRST album. I love the fact that she’s so down to earth and that she ALWAYS keeps it REAL!!! I will always continue to support Monica’s music!!! There are FAR 2 many “so called” R&B artists out here now and Monica one of the TRUE definitions of REAL R&B!! Keep doin ya thing MS THANG!! Monica has a great voice..no doubt. The song “Still Standing” is quite good. After her last effort she knew she had to go back to her roots as opposed to watering down her talent as a typical R&B/Rap?whatever genre. Why they screwed up “SS” with Luda’s totally unnecessary rap is beyond me. I like Luda…every song does not have to have a rap interlude. It completely changed the vibe of the song, and that’s what made her label say they didn’t like it.

As far as her driving on the sidealk to get “Rocko” his shoes and jewelry….it was idiotic and why did they even show that? That was just plain stupid, and I lost a little respect for her. Her man seems to be totally illiterate..I don’t think he had one coherent sentence in the whole show. I know he has a checkered past, and she stuck with him…but she could do a hell of a lot better. what’s wrong with getting with an intelligent brother who can talk and represent her?

Her manager/cousin ain’t getting the job done either. She seemed detached and uninvolved. Where did she learn the biz..where was she when Monica was putting out that last sorry CD?

Monica is probably in the RED with the last effort, and that’s why this is so important. She has to make up for what was probably a big loss. This is all about the money…that’s it. I do think if “SS” is released it would shoot right to the top. If they wait too long (folks have short attention spans) she’ll be like Usher wondering why her sales are off. Heck..we got loved in the club to death before he released the album, and he wonders why it didn’t sell…duhhhhhh. Marketing strategy is everything. They better release it fast before it gets saturated on the internet and airwaves. I wish her the best.

Who is that person from J Records, that who listened to the song? He aparently is soooo young, does not help and have not much experience. He shoulds give good ideias, advices… all that he said was: “oh, this music is not good enough to be a single.” is it, only it, his work? i can do that, if it’s so easy…

I loved the show and wish you all the love, good luck, peace and success - the tops of billboard’s charts!

Monica owes Adonis a big solid for that song. I had never heard of him, but I have to give him props. I have spent countless hours in many studios and it’s just like you saw. Ya’ll got to see what it takes to make a hit. All of the studio footage was as real as it gets. It takes many creative minds to create a hit, but usually the artist gets all of the credit. The track did sound wack at first…Adonis pulled it off. He put Monica’s reality into words that fit her life perfectly…that takes skills. Brian Michael Cox didn’t impress me much…especially went he went AWOL during her session…totally unprofessional. His track was below average til Adonis cleaned it up. At the end of the day, they made a hit and that’s all that matters.

Well I saw the show, and from all the advertising and her speaking, she made it seem like this was HER reality show, but its really B Cox show and she was just the first artist featured… The song was nice, but its not going to be a huge hit for her to make a comeback with. The point of the show was to start a buzz about the song to make fans want it released. I think she can do better for a first single after being away for so long. - I wasn’t impressed with the show itself, seemed like an hour long behind the scenes show. it was a little boring also. Monica fans let them tell it, it was the best show ever…lol - B Cox beats and producing skills have diminished alot, she need to find some of these young fresh producers that can give her that fresh, new sound. - Lets not forget, if she doesn’t have good producers, writers, etc her album will flop. - I don’t believe those ratings was top, please remember it was only showed in the atlanta market.

Just my 2cents, And before you all start, just because i thought the show was half ass, which they could of did it all in 30 mins, doesn’t mean that i’m a hater… So lets clear that up right now..

As an avid Monica fan, it was good to see her do HER. I will have to say, the single STILL STANDING is definitely the comeback song. The guy over at J Records doesn’t have a clue. It’s time for Monica to get back to what she does best - make music that her fans know and love. The show - I think it would do well on a larger network. It was good.

TO BEGIN WITH, MONICA IVE BEEN DOWN SINCE BACK IN THE GAP.LOL..I CANT WAIT UNTIL THE CD COMES OUT BECAUSE ITS GON BE SO HOT IN THE STORES BECAUSE PEOPLE GON BE WAITIN IN LINE FOR IT,LOL.. FIRST, I LOVED THE SHOW I WATCHED IT OVER AND OVER SHID I TOOK MY LAPTOP TO WORK ME AND MY FRIEND WATCHED IT. SHE WAS LIKE MAN I JUS LUV DIS CHICK HERE SHE SO REAL AND SHE CAN SANG HER AZZ OFF.LOL I WOULDNT MIND A NEW EPISODE EVERY WEEK! SECOND,DANA OR WHATEVA SHUT YO ASS UP AN GO BACK ON A bRANDY BOARD WITH THAT, GROW UP HOE! TIME TO CATCH UP WITH BRANDYS FOREHEAD!

I want to say that I love Monica. I have been following her career since 95 and imma support her and have her back regardless. I think that the single is an amazing show that let’s all of monica’s true fans and others to see her in another light. I enjoyed every min of the show. I also think that Still Standing is an incredible song and it’s #1 SINGLE material. I dont think that the people at J Records understands that. I’m from GA and everyone down here that’s heard the song has been blown away. She’s going hard on the song and it paints a vivid picture that everything isn’t gravy in life but you have to keep ya head up and stay strong and i think that my girl Monica most definitely lives up to that. So i want to say to monica thankyou for always staying true to yaself and true to ya fans. And to the fans, go support ya girl monica when the album drops!!!! This is a movement and can’t nobody touch her!!!!!

Wow! It is amazing what time people will spend on some one they do not like. I LOVE Monica. I am getting married and 3 of my 5 songs in my wedding are hers. I loved the show, I cried as well and I loved her realness. Some one said she was a single mom, they must not have seen the show and seen her man. Some people shouldn’t open their mouths with half the facts. Her voice is that real..that amazing voice that is just wonderful on the ears. I can’t wait for the CD and I wish Monica the best in life both professionally and personally.

Monica I am in the D.C. area and was unable to find the show, but looking over the internet pieces about the show has really made me a fan. I will admit that I was not a fan in your day, but I recently saw your 2000 movie Love Song on LMN and instantly began looking for information on the talented sister who played Camille Livingston. I have gotten a very clear picture of all you have gone through to get to where you are today. Never let anyone stop you from pursuing your dreams. If the CD does well, great, if not, still great because you have the most precious gift in family. So many people don’t have the connection of a good family. When you do, nothing else matters. I wish you great success and would love to see a sequel to Love Song.
