Big week for Coldplay, Atlanta tickets on sale

Coldplay’s new album, “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends” was released today to mostly favorable reviews. The British quartet’s catchy single “Viva La Vida,” is at No. 2 on the pop chart and in an iPod TV commercial that seems to run every 10 minutes.
The album was released last Thursday in the U.K. and has already gone platinum there (in Britain, that signifies 300,000 in sales).
Now, the band is headed out on a world tour that will land in Atlanta on Nov. 11. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 21, at noon online through Live Nation, at the Philips Arena box office or Ticketmaster charge by phone at 404-249-6400. Ticket prices are $97.50, $77.50 and $49.50.
