A “Catch” for Ken Will Morton

kwmcrop.jpg

Athens musician Ken Will Morton got some national exposure this week thanks to the Discovery Channel’s gritty adventure/reality series, “Deadliest Catch.”

The bluesy “Oh Lord,” from Morton’s latest album “King of Coming Around,” provided part of the soundtrack to this week’s new episode on Tuesday. The show will repeat this weekend at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 3. To celebrate, Morton’s label, Fundamental Records, is offering the disc for just $5.

You can hear “Oh Lord” and more of Morton’s music at his MySpace page. He’ll be playing at Eddie’s Attic on May 4 and at Park Tavern on June 1.
