Manilow Rescheduled: Looks Like He’ll Make It
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Photo: Jeff Katz
If you can’t smile without a little Barry Manilow, January was not your month. The long-serving crooner’s January 19 Philips Arena date was canceled when Atlanta was blessed with a rare dusting of fluffy white precipitation. Fear not, Mani-lovers, the show has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 29. Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored on the new date.
Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster and are priced from $9.99 up to $150.00.

I hope there are no conservatives in the audience or he may refuse to perform just like on “The View” when Barely Manenough would not go on the show b/c Elizabeth Hasselbeck was on the show and it was just toooooooo upsetting to be on TV with a conservative. What a loser.

Being a conservative myself, I too was not happy to hear his antics regarding the View. That said, I enjoy his music, I’ll be there at his concert, and will give his political opinions the same amount of credence I give other “famous” people both Republican & Democrat alike (Penn, Robbins, Norris, Sarandon) - ABSOLUTELY NONE. Celebrities need to either keep their mouth shut or run for office and concentrate on what made them rich in the first place, which is certainly NOT their political skills!

Fred, Scott—it’s a free country, it’s his choice if he wants to go on the show and he can voice his political views if he wants. You also have the freedom to not support him if that’s what you so choose.
I realize you “Bushies” would like to suppress all of our freedoms! Too bad you’ll be voted out in November.

I pretty much agree with Fred. I’ll be there and unless he pulls a “Dixie Twits”, I have no problems. Everybody has theie opinions, but I have no intentions of paying to hear them while in the audience. If that should unlikely event happen - I’ll boo as loud as I can.

Damn Dave, lighten up. I indentified myself as a conservative and put out a totally bi-partisan statement. Too bad most of you liberals can’t manage to do the same. All you see is red and blue and until everybody in this country sees purple, it doesn’t matter who is “in charge”, we will ALL suffer.

Dave: And it’s Fred and Scott’s right to criticize him, something you apparently are too thick to figure out.
Liberals love free speech, unless it’s something they disagree with.

Hopefully the one freedom we “Bushies” will get rid of is the right to murder babies.

I’m looking forward to going with my daugher. She bought the tickets for me for Christmas. I’m also happy that there are affordable tickets to his concert. I’ll be in good company with good music

Good grief, who cares what he thinks…either go to see him because you like his music, or stay at home and watch television. This country is great in part because of our freedoms…vocal or otherwise…its not about Democrats or Republicans its about our rights to be who we are and to speak our mind. GEEZ

How does an article on the rescheduling of a Barry Manilow concert turn into a discussion on abortion???
Only in this assinine city and state…

Liberals are the ones behind the so-called Fairness Doctrine which would put limits on talk radio.
Most successful talk radio shows are conservative, so the effect would be to limit conservatives. (Liberals uniformly fail at producing a commercially successful radio show.)
So when Dave talks about limiting free speech, he’s a wholly owned subsidiary of the party that wants to limit [conservative] free speech. Burn your ACLU card Davey.
