Ne-Yo Explains His Exit From R. Kelly Tour
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

One week into R&B superstar R. Kelly’s tour there’s already troubles, and if what Ne-Yo says is happening backstage is true, there could be more.
Atlanta’s R&B singer-songwriter abruptly left the “Double Up” tour this week - leaving fellow local talents Keyshia Cole and J Holiday on the bill - “and it ain’t because I did something wrong, I’ll tell you that much,” he told the nationally-syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show Wednesday. (Though it doesn’t air here, Hot-107.9’s “A Team Morning Show” ran the audio minutes later).
“The PC terms that I’m being told to use [are] that we couldn’t come to a fair contractual agreement,” Ne-Yo said. “Basically, the way it goes is this: My people are going in fighting with R. Kelly over stuff that anybody else would just give me. And it’s not like I’m asking for anything crazy. For example, the first show, Columbus, Ga. …This man took all seven dressing rooms and told me to get dressed on my bus.”
“Can’t nobody be in the hallway when he walks through - just little silly stuff like that…As an artist, I have the utmost respect for that man. You can’t take away from the fact that he’s a musical genius. But as a person, as a person, I can’t lie, I lost a little respect for him on this one.”

RKelly joke - When are they going to put him in jail for child abuse? His money is keeping him out of jail - I can’t stand to listen to his music; it reminds me of his p** video.

He……he lost a little respect on THAT one? So the allegations that he is serial sex offender and that he has consistently abuses young women sexually….that didn’t do it for you Ne-Yo? And I just lost a lot of respect for you.

“Lost a little respect” for R. Kelly? How much respect can you have left for a guy who gets off p** on underage girls and filming it? The fact that this guy is still selling out shows is disrespectful. He should be in jail.

IPEEONPEOPLE can say “pee” in their opinion and not get censored, yet I say “p**” in mine and it gets edited to “p**”? What is the diference? Please, if its not vulger or offensive, leave my stuff alone.

R-Kelly is a joke. It amazes me how so many people continue to support this pedophile time and time again. I guess all it takes for the masses is for an artist to drop a phat beat and the rest is all good… I wish the judicial system would hurry up and try this fool and throw him in the slammer already. NEXT!

Surely you are not surprised! R.Kelly is a wacko just like Mike Jackson. He is a sex offendar and money is keeping him from being locked up. He preys on young girls and noone seems to care. All he does is whine and begs to be taken to bed in almost every song. That’s a sign that he is working with a very short instrument.

all you guys get real pee on ne-yo he is not crazy and besides he should have told him up front that he will have all dressing room but from the looks of it keyshia cole had a problem with ne-yo so that should plan out who go where before you got there.

R. Kelly has ruined every tour he’s ever been on…Remember that “Best of Both Worlds” he messed up for himself and Jay Z.
Never mind the fact that he’s a pedophile (if you can…and I can’t), dude just seems like a bad person to do biz with.

What is the difference between p** and pee? If I had said “how much respect can you have left for a guy who gets off peeing on underage girls” instead of “p** on underage girls” would that have been OK? How is that any different and how does it raise to the level that you have to censor me?

DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THE FIASCLE WITH JA-Z WHEN HE WAS PEPPER SPRAYED IN THE FACE FOR BEING A LIL BITCH….AND AS FAR AS HIS COURT CASE GOES..THE REASON THEY HAVENT LOCKED HIS ASS UNDER THE JAIL IS NOT BECAUSE OF HIS MONEY, BUT BECAUSE UNFORTUNATELY IN THIS COUNTRY IF THEY DO NOT HAVE “SOLID” EVIDENCE THEN THEY HAVE TO FIND OTHER MEANS OR WAYS TO GET HIS ASS. OH, AND BY THE WAY THE ALLEGED VICTIM DENIES THAT IT WAS EVEN HER ON THE TAPE.I GUESS THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM DOESNT SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH A LIL BUMP AND GRIND.

This is why most blacks are outraged in the south. If a 17year old even touches a 15year old he would be in jail even if they did not have enough evidence. And we allow our sons and daughters to follow R. Kelly. What if it was your daughter or son, would you still go to his concerts. If he likes young girls then he should date Michael Jacksons’ immature behind. I believe if they do the crime then do the time. There are so many other people in america in jail for doing less than these two freaks. When he was twenty five “A” parents allowed them to date and eventually marry even though she was fifteen. Come on people there is no right way to do wrong. It makes the rest of us look very bad.

Thanks Ken. To all the other bloggers. My Grandparents, parents and I are all bi racial. America makes it about race. If you are black you are some uneducated oversexxed lazy and ignorant person. If you are white you automatically receive priviledge in america. This is proven fact. Thats the way it is whether you like it or not. I cannot tell you how many times I have been pulled over just coming home from work. I owned a big SUV factor custom wheels and factory tint. I was harassed this way for years until I finally contacted the GBI and some other agencies. The rationale ranged from the car looked suspicious to we were looking for a similiar vehicle. Most of those officers have now been fired or transferred. Worst part of it all was I myself was a local law enforcement officer as well as a federal one at one time. I love all people from all races but I despise idiots from all walks of life like R. Kelly and Michael Jackson. These people are like a cancer to our children and society. I for one applaud Ne Yo for speaking out. It shows he at least has character. I have taught my children to chose who they like and love. No matter what the race creed or racial background. And they do so openly. There is nothing wrong with people mixing with other races. Most of us are attracted to our opposites but dont do so because of what others say. There are prejudices all overs but I am not enough of a simpleton to be one or blind to the fact they are all over the place.

So lets educated each other and not for opinions about the other race without first getting to know one. So in this holiday season lets all get to know other races.

Let’s analyze this…open minded individuals need only read this. R Kelly calls himself the “Pied Piper of R & B” correct? What did the Pied Piper of Hamlet do? Played his flute and had all the little children and mice follow him to a presumed death. R Kelly is playing his flute and we are all following him and proclaiming him to be this musical genius….Every time this man comes out with something we talk about how creative he is…TRUE..the man is very talented…But this man urinated on young girls…this man possibly married Aliyah when she was still a teenager….someone who calls himself the Pied Piper of anything tells me that he has control over the masses through music. Lucifer was a talented musician…Christians correct me if I’m wrong. Open your eyes, recognize and read between the bull the media feeds us….He is a diva, true enuff, but this man has deep rooted ties with something ungodly…to where the justice system has not tried this man yet, but we are up in arms when a pedophile moves into our neighborhoods, goes to our church. This man….is molesting us, our children through music…and we are buying into it…making him richer than he is now and was before he urinated on video. Holla Back.

I will admitt r.kelly has some private issues, and yes he needs some professional help for messing with underage girls, but I love his music and as an artist i would continue to support him, but people make mistakes. I even blame the girl in the video, she knew what she was doing, but here is the question, where was her mom and dad in order for her to able to have contact with him, i have three daughters i know where they are all times, i have explained to them about sex lets not put all this on this man he aint the first and not the last, and r.kelly not like ne-yo does not need him on his tour, people are going to see r.kelly anyway not that punk neyo.he needs to quit singing about the women he lost who now is going to marry someone else and has a baby with his bitch ass.

Muscial genius or not.Surely there is someone else that he can tour with.It truly shames me as an African American male. That R.kelly is still supported by so many of my own. When will we get it straight and demand that the artist and athletes that we support make some attempt to be decent citizens and role models for the younger generation.

Unfortunately some artists have lost their “let’s talk as men” attitude. I mean Neyo was on stage asking people if they were ready for the Champ to come out at the Atlanta show. He shows a clip explaining how fun it is to be on tour. If Kells has seven dressing rooms that’s not his fault that’s the promoter’s fault. Everyone signs a contracts with what you will and won’t have. The same man some of you call a joke is the same person that paid $300 to those 21 families that lost their loved ones in that Chicago club. He’s no saint but look in the mirror first.

Go head Ne-Yo stand up for yourself. You are a musical star as well and you don’t have any business getting dressed on a bus. What in the hell is wrong with R-Kelly? He is totally a joke. One minutes he is acting like a hoodlum the next minute he’s found Jesus. He’s a joke.
Ne-Yo you did the right thing. Don’t allow anybody to disrespect you. If you do then other people will walk all over you. Now I just have one question.
Is Keyshia Cole getting dressed on the bus?

Correction. it was $3000. That’s not an excuse for anything but why be quick to judge him on something bad he’s accused of and not the good stuff he has done. Is Jay Z being crucified for punching that lady on that tape? What’s worse? Imus did a good thing raising money for orphans. And that should be acknowledge as well.

Ne-Yo I don’t see how you would have ever agreed to go on tour with a man who is a known and pedophile. I am with everyone else who said you lost points for that comment. I have definitely lost some respect for you even though I love your music. I will not listen to, look at or purchase ANYTHING associated with R.Kelley. He is an arrogant child molester. While he may think he has gotten away with something know that his day is coming. He preys on girls in unfortunate sircunstances because he knows that there is a good chance he will get away with what he does. I pray he doesn’t have a daughter because if he does that will be his ULTIMATE payback when someone messes with her at a young age.

Noell, it’s funny how you write “I will not listen to, look at or purchase ANYTHING associated with R.Kelley” yet you are expressing your dislike for him here. What girls has he preyed on exactly? Names please. And yes he has two daughters and a son. As for Neyo, did R. Kelly personally tell him to get dress on the bus. If so why did he continue to perform. I’m sure it was someone else and not Kells. Those are issues the Promoter should handle.

Simple as that.
And you people enable his behavior by defending him by specious arguments.
You people need to get with the program and quit setting people like him and Kanye West up as high profile members of your race.
Otherwise, you will always think that someone is “keepin” ya down….

By KELL_IS_NOT_SELLING_TICKETS
November 22, 2007 8:01 AM | Link to this
Just to set the facts straight, R. Kelly is not selling out everywhere. If you check ticketmaster, you will find that there are a lot of seats available in every city he will visit and some are floor seats. Great seats are still available in his home town of Chicago too.
What I think happens most of the time is that we have a perception from the media that these artists are selling out tours when in fact the majority of times it’s a lie. The last time Britney came to Atlanta she performed before a lot of empty seats, but the mass media fools people into thinking that many people like these artist and that their tours are selling out.
R. Kelly’s best market was here in Atlanta and that’s because the local DJs had multiple contest giving away tickets and they played his music all day. It’s really hard to determine tickets that were purchased and tickets that were given away through promotion.
Also, Atlanta is kind of backwards too. You know Atlantians fall for these con MEGA CHURCHES, so I know they will fall for R. Kelly.

I wonder how R. Kelly would feel if he had some stuck up a** wipe like himself playing around with his 12 year old daughter. I wish he did it to mine!

I really think that R Kelly could kill someone on video and most of the morons that have responded so far would give him a free pass because he is black! Have you ever heard of ACCOUNTABILITY? It is structure of civilizations. Oh yeah I forgot that’s something the last 2000 years you have no concept of. No wonder with the drought and traffic and I could name 100 other things this is and will become the worst city in the USA to live in! I really hope you enjoy the R Kelley concert! I’m sure my tax dollars are paying your rent through section 8 so you can get the tickets.

@Ha - the article was about Ne-Yo walking off the stage. I read the blog because I was interested in what Ne-Yo had to say - so get the facts straight before you say anything. I still will not listen to, look at or purchase anything that has to do with R Kelley. I did read the article because I like Ne-Yo. Also I don’t have to give names the fact is that he does prey on minor children. Did he not have involvement with Aliyah when she was underage. Again if you are an R.Kelly fan so be it. I am sure the latter part of your comment was general since I didn’t reference anything about the dressing room situation in my comment. Again the problem is we continue to support people regardless of what they do. He messes with minor girls and thanks for the bit on his kids AGAIN I AM SURE HE WILL NOT LIKE IT IF AND WHEN SOMEONE DOES HIS LITTLE GIRL.

I have read every comment thus far, so just let me sum this up for everyone. we like to use the race card whether we are black or white we like to criticize no matter what, this blog like every other blog is an avenue for people to throw their prejudice around and say things that they do not have all evidence of / or awareness about, the media which is the venue of the most marketable person because like any company they know what the consumer wants. they know they can sell more newspapers with the dirty stuff than tell you the boring local stuff that is happening every day. but why do we cry over this injustice, this is something we want we(americans) everyday, every minute, every second someone is trying to come up with something to keep our attention. I’m sorry that the contract between ne-yo and r-kelly did not get put together correctly but again that is the promoter’s fault for I know r-kelly spelled out exactly what he wanted while on tour. And this just not goes for him all artists have their perks that they want, because guest what they are giving us what we want we have placed them on their pedastals and now because one is on tour that has yet to be convicted of a crime that we think he may have done that we cannot distiquish r-kelly or the girl then now we are mad and think black people should not support him. Well I was at the kick off concert in columbus, I do know the promoters of some of the venues, and guest what white people purchased tickets too and had some of the good floor seats. a local white radio station was also on site. so people it’s alright to have opinions that’s how this country came about some people from another country just wanted to serve God in their own special way and came here to America. where we can have what we want, say or do mostly what we want and live and make money the way we want. and people I am so tired of hearing about your tax dollars paying for some under privilage persons way I don’t know what to do, because when we get old and need social sercurity someone will be paying your way unless you have an good 401(a) plan stashed away, so if you look at the pie chart of where the money goes then you will see about 4% of your earnings goes toward welfare. peace out people and by the way I will be catching another r-kelly concert because guest what i’m a kells fan.

Great opiniong KT. I love R. Kelly music no matter what and I SUPPORT EVERY CONCERT HE HAS HERE IN ATLANTA. He doesnt need to “pad” the concert with added guest. When people bough tickets they bough them because he is the headliner. I can care less about Keyshia or Ne-Yo, I bough ticktes to see Kels. IF people bought ticktes because they wanted to see those 2 only , then they are crazy. No matter what blogs, media and people say, MOST AMERICAN LIKE R, KELLY and thats it.Its not gonna change. True he lost a lo of fans with the child porn thing, but his die hard fans will remain, and I am sure u know by know I am a die hard fan!! So let the judgement and opinions about me begin..cause I can care less what people who dont know me really think!! KELS IS THE BEST*

I work on the R.Kelly Double Up Tour, and First of All If you are a fan of any Artist, you have a payed to see them perform on a tour with several acts.. That is the way IT IS., because that is the only way most R & B acts can fill up an 10 - 15 thousand set areana at $100 to $45 bucks a pop. plus parking and consessions, It all about money , NEYO Put on a GREAT SHOW. His Band & Dancers are all professional that have worked with MAJOR ARTIST from Beyonce to Chris Brown to Usher artist Keisha Cole was Hott too, she has also has some of the top musicians and Dancer that tour with Super Stars like Mariah Carey and Jill Scott.and R.Kelly is THE MAN musically, He has HITS ,and his Stage Productions are 2nd to none, and his band and dancer are some of Chicago’s Best. THE PROBLEM IS THE PROMOTER “ROWE ENT.” .It is his JOB to make sure all Artist. Musicaians ,Dancers, Crew ,Drivers , Merch, Security ,Warbrobe, stylist, etc, is ABLE to do there JOBS ,By providing in contract ( that the promoter was un fair) the BASIC things any Artist need to perform like Dressimg Rooms ,Transportation, SoundCheck,Catering ect. We have to be able to move freely back stage to do our jobs, Venue security was wack too, they may need a job from Neyo one day ?S thay Its about “THE FANS” that pay up to $100 or more to see a GOOD R&B CONCERT :Support LIVE MUSIC and Stop Hateing on Each Other “WE ALL WE GOT”

It’s ashamed to see that A lot of you ladies and gentlemen sit here on this and keep saying Ne-Yo is gay which he is not but its better off for me to not even argue about that. You can not go off sayinf you are losing respect for Ne-Yo because of kell’s personal problems or what ever because we are not sure if that was kell’s and Ne-Yo should not have to dig kell’s for his personal life its a matter of Ne-Yo knwing him and Rkelly did not once talk to Ne-Yo and Ne-Yo does not even know this man! Ne-Yo is a very honest person and my mother expected something like this to happen! I feel that Rkelly’s ego is bruised and i Fell That Ne-Yo is an amazing artist and he is sexy and smart and very mature for his age! i Applaud you Ne-Yo i love you sooo much!!! Compound all day WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! myspace.com/ronnisemoore13 or youtube.com/ronnisemoore13 i love you Ne-Yo!!!! and everyone who has said positive things about Ne-Yo i love you guys and Never stand in the way of a hataz job!!! so HATAZ on here talking smack about Ne-Yo keeep hating it shows truly what a person you are!!1
love always Ronnise Moore
