Atlanta needs to lock up it’s daughters. I can not believe that he has not gone to trial yet.

I don’t listen or buy his music. If I am listening to the radio and one of his songs comes on, I change the station.

It’s the weirdest thing… he gets charged with child pronography and even though most of his songs are sexually motivated, I still want to see him in concert. Mainly because he is a talented man; it’s hard to think about him in that video when he’s performing because he’s so darn entertaining. Maybe if the girl and her parents would stick up for themselves, then maybe you could take the case more seriously.

What is more alarming to me is that people will march for the Jena 6 (rightfully so) but if it is alleged crime against a female there is no outrage. Where is the outrage? Why aren’t his fans calling him to task? Is it because of a funky beat?

As a former fan, I can not in all good consciousness allow him to continue to make a living where he can harm young ladies. Some facts we do know is that he did marry Alliyah when she was 14 and he was in his mid to late 20’s. These alleged tapes were made after the fact. He hasn’t changed his stripes.

I don’t understand how this case has lingered on for so long. What ever happened to swift justice? And how about the fact that the alleged victim says that’s not her on the tape?

As a parent, I don’t understand how anyone would allow their 14 year old daughter to be in this circle. Our obsession with all things celebrity has caused us to basically sell our children for the hopes of a couple of dollars. That disgusts me more than he ever could, because if parents would parent, their children would have rules and restrictions that would limit accessibility to these kinds of situations.

Sharon H would you preach please! that’s what i’m saying. i don’t get the hype. i cannot think of ONE song that he has sang, written or produced that i love - no not the flying song. it just didn’t get me. and probably because i couldn’t get past the bump grind song - he came out as an ass and will remain an ass in my book. regardless of the truth of the indictment. give me REAL music with REAL lyrics. the songwriters from back in the day (earth, wind and fire, ojays, any of the old school) could wrap a lyric around me ANY day. give me r. kelly’s sheet music and i’ll wipe my feet with it. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty. You all are downing Kelly for his behavior but have you put any responsiblity on the parents of this supposed underage girl and where they were when she was allowed to be with a man Kelly’s age. People are so ready to cut people down at the first sign of trouble before they can get all the facts until it makes me sick. If there was a book written on your life, how many pages would you want to tear out before someone else got a chance to read it. I don’t condone wrong in any way, and if he is wrong then he needs to pay for his crimes. However, just like anyone else he has a right to make a living doing what he does which is his music. He is a very talented person and I would love to see him in person.

My friend in Miami worked for him on a video shoot for “Fiesta Fiesta”. She was hemmed up the “Kels” in the bathroom of a trailer she was using, and claims he groped her. This was before the accusations had come out, so I knew of his exploits and his devious behavior long ago. He offered her $1000 to come to his hotel, and she proudly told him she was NOT a hooker. So he had her removed from the set, but she still made it into the video. She is now a 2nd year intern at a Miami hospital, and is going to have her own pediatric office in the future. She told me that for the 4 days that she was there on set, he slept with over 20 women! Some of them were under age girls posing as 18+ so they could make it into the video, she said it made her sick when he said what he wanted to do to her. When she told him she was 20, he got very upset with her.

I happened to see a copy of that video when he was in his sauna/bathroom. One thing stood out, and it was the log cabin looking wood on the walls of his bathroom. A friend of mine who is a record producer here in Atlanta, said he has been to that house in Chicago, and has seen the exact bathroom in which the video was shot. I found this to be true when I picked up a copy of a VIBE magazine with the “R”

Ugh is on point. People dang near invaded Jena, LA because a young boy was punished too severely. However, nothing of that sort happens when a young girl is statutorily raped on a video by a popular R&B star. Interesting set of priorities we have.

At some point we have to draw the line people. That is him on the tape. Everyone on this thread knows that. And it has been established that the girl was underage.

This man is sick, and some of you are actually defending him! I saw the tape, and it IS him! I use to love RKelly, but now I despise him. Too many facts are supporting this alegation. Married Aliyiah when she was 14, and there are other girls out there that have been settled out of court. Those supporting him are just as guilty as he is.

Come on now Shay, there is a thing called “loyalty” and a thing called “denial”. As disgusted as I am by his actions, I’m not going to front, I love his music but I wouldn’t pay to see him. Dedicated, Honey Love, Sadie, Trade in My Life, The Storm is Over, are some of my favorite songs. As for Trapped in the Closet, when the man comes home and his wife has the midget in the cabinet and he comes charging out with the pie crumbs on his mouth I laughed until my side hurt.
