Cobb police are looking for suspects in separate homicides. Both of the victims died Monday.
The first incident involved an argument between two men and occurred about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in the Belle Chase Apartments, on Bellemeade Road in Marietta, police said.
Police say Raul Uriostegui Martinez, 25, of Smyrna, stabbed Daniel Guerrero Hernandez, 47. Hernandez died at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
According to Martinez’s arrest warrant, he stabbed Hernandez in the neck. Witnesses saw him leave complex in a red Ford Explorer.
In the second incident, a 17-year-old was found shot in the torso at the Castlewood Mobile Home Park, at 6 Acadia Lane in Mableton, just before 10 a.m. Monday. The teenager, Edgar Garcia, was taken to a local hospital, where he died Monday afternoon, said Officer Cassie Reece, a Cobb police spokeswoman.
Reece said the suspect was trying to rob Garcia and two other victims.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945.
