NATCHEZ, Miss. —
Tourism professionals say this year's Fall Pilgrimage tours in Natchez are shaping up to be the best in at least three years.
Natchez Pilgrimage Tours General Manager Emily Edwards says group sales for September and October are shaping up much better htan those for 2011 and 2012.
Charlotte Copeland tells The Natchez Democrat (http://bit.ly/18IKpJ4 ) that the 140 visitors to Sweet Auburn on Sept. 28 were the best day she's ever had. It's her third year as part of the tours, which end Oct. 14.
Most tours feature three houses each. Two tours include two houses. There are morning and afternoon tours.
Copeland said most of her visitors were from out of state, and one group was a busload of 43 tourists from Spain.
