For road warriors
From economy cars and hybrids to sleek sports cars and luxury vehicles, car enthusiasts will have plenty to gawk at over the next nine days. And while you may have seen some of these cars already, there will also be 2009 models as well as concept cars still miles away from road use.
Roadside attractions
Like any other showroom, there will actually be an opportunity to test-drive some of the cars on display thanks to the GM Experience. And proving that high-octane speed isn't necessary to be a daredevil, the Wheels of Freestyle bicycle team will put on stunt shows each day. The Work in Progress section will feature custom cars and motorcycles as well as seminars on how to customize your own ride, and the State Farm Experience will feature contests, games and a racing simulator that allows drivers to have their photos taken with the virtual cars of their dreams.
What else you'll see
Batman will swoop in on April 19 and 20 while pro truck racer Ron Hornaday will be on hand April 24. And for those who'd rather avoid the crowds and rub elbows with local sports and media personalities, April 18's "A Night of Cars & Stars" preview party not only lets you do that, but the $75 cover also benefits Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and includes hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
