Alcoholic drinks in restaurants on Sunday. Why not?

Yoo hoo Fayettevillians, it’s baaack.

Yes, come November when we head to the polls to decide on the next U.S. president, we will also decide whether or not city restaurants will be allowed to serve alcoholic drinks on Sunday.

Yep, we’re going to give this ol’ referendum another shot and see what happens. I’m hoping it’ll pass simply because it would bring more revenue to local restaurants, maybe attract new ones, or possibly keep some old ones in business.

So here’s what I want to know from you readers: Please, please help me understand why we shouldn’t allow restaurants serve alcoholic beverages on Sunday. I really want to understand the other side of the argument. So bring it on!
