Nasty problem shuts community pool

Our subdivision pool is going through a nasty problem- literally. Maybe you can help.

For the last two nights some kid has been pooping in the pool. Trust me on this one.

We know it’s a kid and not an animal. This means a pool specialist is called in for about $150 to “shock” the pool so the contaminants are taken care of. But the problem is that the pool is then closed for the rest of the evening.

When I talked to the community volunteer who oversees the pool, she said she doesn’t know how we will ever figure out who is doing it.

A whole community shouldn’t have to deal with a pool closing because of one negligent parent or kid. Signs are posted about having kids in waterproof diapers, etc. But let’s face it…does anybody really read those signs? This is just common sense stuff and it’s really irritating.

Has your subdivision ever had this problem? If so, how did they deal with it?
