Where do you shop when the economy is soft?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I don’t mean to belabor this negative economic situation, but I’m so curious to know what people are doing to save money.
For instance, I don’t mind shopping at thrift stores for clothing. As a matter of fact, I went to one in Peachtree City and it was packed.
That was kind of a sign in my mind that other people are doing the same thing. And actually, I’m not a recent thrift store convert, I’ve been going for quite a few years. I know some people are turned off by used clothing and especially shoes. But to me it’s nothing a little Lysol and a washing machine can’t fix.
And then there are Wal-Mart clothes. Yes, I’ve purchased some t-shirts and shorts from them in the past too. I’m not ashamed at all. But I do know some folks that wouldn’t go to a thrift store or Wal-Mart for clothes.
What about you? Do you shop at thrift stores or Wal-Mart for clothing? And are there some things you wouldn’t consider buying at either place (clothing-wise)?

Thrift shops are the best for jeans..They are broke in and I hate buying a $40 pair of jeans and have them shrink up on the first wash.
