Does Fayetteville needs its own July 4th celebration?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Before you know it the sounds of fireworks will be heard accompanied by brilliant explosions in the sky.
And for those of us who live in Fayetteville we don’t have to travel far to see them since they are in view right next door in Peachtree City. In the nearly 11 years I’ve lived here I’ve never been disappointed by the show. Now I know the Buckhead fireworks are also probably spectacular but with gas prices at an all time high I wouldn’t dream of making the trek up there when I’ve got it practically in my own backyard.
But I have to admit every once in a while I think it sure would be nice if we had our own celebration right here in Fayetteville. That way I hopefully wouldn’t have to hop in my car and with any luck maybe I could see them from my own backyard.
On the other hand, the crowds and traffic might not be worth it. What are your thoughts on this? Would you like a July 4th celebration to take place in Fayetteville? Or is it just fine with you that they are right next door in Peachtree City?

As a Peachtree City resident, I say YES..as I’m expecting record crowds this Friday.

Yes, Fayetteville should have their own fireworks display. Have you contacted your city council with that suggestion? It’s worth a try.
