How do you keep cool?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
I’ll say it in two words- it’s hot!
Yeah, I know, it’s summer and what do you expect? Well, I expect hot, but not quite this early in the season. But I digress.
Here’s my question for the day: What do you do inside your home to keep things cool? I for one close the blinds in the front of the house in the morning and open the ones on the back side of the house.
Then I reverse both sets in the afternoon. I have a ceiling fan in every room and they are always in full motion.
Many years ago we had the windows tinted to keep out the heat. It seems to help too. There are blinds on the back deck which get rolled down during the afternoon hours. Sometimes if I’m feeling really overheated a quick jump in less than half a bath of cool water helps cool me down right before bedtime. And oh yeah, there’s nothing like a popsicle to help lower the temp.
So what do you do inside your home to keep the heat out? I can always use some more ideas.
