What kind of retail do you want in Fayette?

Another one bites the dust.

Yep, it’s true, Goody’s, in the Fayette Pavilion is closing.

As I turned into the shopping center from Ga. 314 this past weekend there was a guy holding one of those signs; Prices slashed a gazillion percent. Store closing.

The very first thing that came to mind was now we’ll have another empty big-box store. I don’t know how long it will be before Goody’s closes, but I did start thinking about who could be the next tenant to fill that space.

Clearly it would have to be some kind of retail store; but for the life of me, I can’t think of any.

Do you have any suggestions? Who or what kind of store would you like to see in that space?
