Talking politics isn’t always a good idea
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
During this time of heated political discussions I was just wondering about something: What if you found out that your doctor, dentist, or some other person who provides a service for you, had a political opinion that was totally opposite of yours?
Would you care? Would it even matter?
I ask because while I find the matter of politics fascinating, I am also finding that I make a point of not sharing my opinions with people whose services I employ. As a matter of fact I have a strict policy of not mixing business and pleasure or politics for that matter.
For me, my physician and dentist, aren’t my friends. They simply provide an extremely important service.
And besides, I kind of don’t want to know if we differ in our political views. It’s just an unchartered territory that I’d rather leave unchartered.
What about you? Have you ever ventured outside your box to discuss politics with someone who provides a service? If you did was there regret or relief?

I would never let a Republican dentist put his hands in my mouth. They might try to steal my gold. But, I will always share my opinions with my doctor. If he’s not supporting Hillary, then I am out of there. So far, he keeps telling me that he is supporting Hillary. I think he’s just putting me on because he wants all of my insurance money. I work at the airport and have good insurance. Doctors love that green. They love to make money. That’s why they overbook so much.
