Good morning Clayton!

The Clayton County Council of PTAs will be hosting several political forums between now and Election Day:

TONIGHT at 7:00pm a forum for DISTRICT ONE candidates will be held at the Jim Huie Recreation Center, 9045 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro.

On Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00pm a forum for SENATE DISTRICT 13 candidates, CLAYTON CO. SHERIFF candidates and CLAYTON CO. JUDGE candidates will be held at the Police Department Community Room, 7911 N. McDonough Road, Jonesboro.

On Wednesday, October 22 at 7:00pm a forum for DISTRICT 9 CANDIDATES will be held at the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center, 3499 Rex Road, Rex.

Pam Adamson has already gotten my vote thanks to early voting. She was clearly the most qualified at the forum I attended a few weeks back. District one was lucky to get a few good choices but Pam was the best, I hope she wins.

Loss of SACS accreditation.

Its not the fault of the kids, board or that thompson-Failure…NO. The blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the democratic voters…the incompetent parents.

Never before have we witnessed an entire county chock full of such Lazy Parents, Sorry Parents who are no good to themselves, let alone their children.

And now you brainless atomitons are allowed to vote on the new school board. This should be a laugh and it will be for all those not residing in Clayton County. But for your children it will be a sad day full of infinite stupidiy as illustrated by the democratic parents of Clayton County.

I was an undecided voter untill today. I will cast my vote for Obama. I have been a life long Republican but must switch my vote for the best man. The MAIN reason i’m voting for Obama is because McCain has failed to clearly define his economic plans and to show me how his policies would differ from Bush’s. Bush has been a huge failure. The GOP is in trouble on the national level and pretty soon on the state level. McCain’s efforts to throw lies and fear into the mix shows me that he can’t run on his record or past successful policies. McCain picks Palin. She is obviously not ready to be president. This shows bad judgement on McCains part. Obama has EARNED my vote.

I am disappointed at the other candidates for school board in district 9. Other than Bivins, I have not heard nor seen any information from the other candidates. Chioce is good. It was bad judgment on behalf of the other candidates to decide to run and than fail to attempt to court the voters. I live in District 9 and am very disapointed. how can I research the candidates when they are not putting forth information to make a decision? There are two weeks left people. Get on the ball!

I am a Democrat and I am voting McCain. I am smart enough to know we need checks and balances in our government. With a democratic president and a democratic Congress We will be in Big Trouble. If we had a Republican Congress I could in good faith vote for Obama. But Obama is not strong enough to rein in his own party. He would find the strength to oppose the opposite party but will sell his soul for party unity. I know this will upset some posters out there but I am entitled to My own opinion.

I’m voting for Dominick Crea for BOE District 1. He’s not a teacher, administrator or formerly either. He doesn’t have an ax to grind or score to settle. He’s smart and objective and can make a clear analysis of the issues and problems facing Clayton schools. He won’t be distracted by a bunch of hysterical loonies who can’t keep their focus on what’s important. I attended the forum for District 1 a couple weeks ago and there were a couple other candidates who also might serve honorably; but when I go to vote I am voting for Dominick Crea. I think he will do our district proud at every meeting and we won’t have to go home embarrassed to call him our representative.

unless you are a member of the uber rich, you should be voting for Obama. We had a Republican President, House and Senate. Look what it got us. Record deficits, failing economy, socialistic banking system and more than 1.3 million lost jobs. I don’t know what your “checks” will balance but so far the “trikle” down economy is a failed experiment. McCain can’t address it or even acknowledge it. The Republicans have shot themselves in the foot and hung themselves. Look what they are doing to Georgia. When the Democrats were in office Georgia was a destination of people from all over the world, now in todays AJC, we have lost over a half a million jobs and the Georgian economy is on the brink of tanking and all the while Glen, Sonny and Cassey can’t come together to fix the most basic of concerns like transportation, schools and health insureance for working families. 2010 will be the year the GOP is FORCED out of power at the capitol. Thank you Republicans for doing such a swell job doing nothing but enriching yourselves at the expense of the taxpayers.

I was in the first graduating class of Morrow High School (1972) and I am totally offended by the way Clayton County as a whole has spiraled down. At this point, it doesn’t matter which person gets the presidential nomination. The thing that matters most is who we elect to fill the county seats. It’s the people in these positions who later become popular and run for presidency. The morals of the people currently filling the seats need a serious upgrade. If attitudes of the elected people of Clayton County don’t change, fire them at election time. Let’s not wait for Obama or McCain to change from the top down, let’s make a change from the county level up. We must remember, we are the people and the officials represent us not the other way around.

My vote is definitely for Charlton Bivins, he has earned by vote. He is out in the public getting to know the citizens in our community. I am very disappointed in James Searcy for the response made on the Boot’s website, Mr. Searcy I am still waiting on an explanation. I had pretty much made my mind up on Bivins but Searcy signed, sealed and delivered my decision.

Mr Bivins has been a coach and truly involved in the community more than any of the other candidates. I went to Mr. Bivins’ website and found out so much more. Check it out for yourself. [www.bivinsforclayton.com]

I am voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin this election. Not because I am white and Barrack Obama is black, not because I am a Republican and voting the straight ticket, and not because Barrack Obama is a Democrat…..Its because:

1) Obama’s economic policies will force this republic into socialism, where the government will decide whats best for the individual, instead of the individual taking responsibility for their own decisions, which goes against the traditional value of pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps

2) Obama’s domestic policies have a blatant disregard for the Bill of Rights guaranteed under the U.S. constitution (look up his views on the 2nd amendment, and especially his 1st Amendment views on the “fairness doctrine” for the media)

3) Obama’s foreign policies will negate this country’s tradition policy of peace by strength and put into place a policy of appeasement toward aggressor nations

4) Obama’s views on healthcare penalize those who WORK for everything and require the WORKING class to pay for the healthcare of those who choose NOT to work, and negate the free market policies of capitalism (Doctors WORK for their money, they didn’t take an oath of poverty)

5) Obama’s “tax the rich” penalties will force “the rich” to drive up prices to cover this additional “fairness” tax imposed in the name of “compassion”

If you want the government to have more control over just about every aspect of your life….by all means, be free to choose Barrack Obama…but, if you believe in traditional American work ethics and that less government is better government, vote John McCain. As for me, I am a MAN that takes responsibility for his own actions and decisions, and does not need the government “nanny state” to provide for, or think for me!

Why don’t we just elect Mr Dowell, Trotter, Lee Scott, Reelect Lil Vic, Jewel of De Nile, Rod Johnson, Nedra the Hutt, and the rest of the LOSERS in Clayton. Problem with Clayton County schools- not enough involvement of the parents, too much trust in govt. And now we want to go to socialism, isn’t that what got us to the point we’re at now, we turned it over to the board, and look what happened, at some point people are going to have to step up and take their role. I can’t believe that there are children graduating from high school and can’t read, while I have a 5 yr old neice who can’t go to Kindergarten because she reading on a 3rd grade level, once again clayton county problems shows a lack of parental involvement. This problem didn’t happend overnight and it wont be fixed overnight, but getting a new BOE will help, but we’re going to need the parents to spend some quality time with their children to make sure they’re not being left behind, because it is not happening in the schools.

I will most likely be voting for Mr. Bivens, although, I am still trying to find more info about Dolaldson & Walker.

Searcy is out of consideration as his website indicates that he was the Founding President of a Homeowners Association. This alone intimates that he may harber fascist/socialist beliefs. HOAs are notorious as being anti property rights.

I will be voting for Honeycutt over Scott. Scott voted against sending ammunition and supplies to our troops in harms way. He also voted for the $700 billion bailout after another $150 billion in pork was added to it.

I can’t vote for Chambliss because of his support for the baove referenced bailout bill, and I won’t vote for Miller because of his history, and expressed support for socialist ideas. therefore, I am in a quandary. We really need a none of the above option in this race.

I am leaning towards Rainwater due to his experience, but, I haven’t ruled out Kimbrough just yet. If Kimbrough had successfully practiced law in the private sector he would be a shoe in, but, he probably wouldn’t be running for Sheriff as he wouldn’t be able to stand the cut in pay.

I will most likely be voting for McCain-Palin over Obama-Biden unless something major happens to change that.

Lets face it, Obama is promoting a socialistic/communistic future for the country. I can’t vote for that. Biden says that if Obama is elected, he will be tested by some type of international incident within the first six months of his presidency. I’m not excited about another 9/11 happening.

Meanwhile, I believe McCain is stronger on issues related to our nation’s defense, and has better ideas related to growing our economy. But, he is old, and Palin is still a somewhat unknown quantity.

So, I guess I will vote for McCain and pray he lives for many more years.

Jack Rainwater is the best candidate for Sheriff by far!

Ms. Lewis is the best choice for District 9! Bivins has baggage from Mike Glanton, Eldrin Bell and Synamon Baldwin same for Searcy.

Ophilia Burroughs is the best candidate for School Board District 5

Absolute POSERS who have absolutely nothing better to do than go pilfer a free meal, haircut, yellow fingernail paint job and you can bet…the majority of these society rejects will be from the Democratic party of Clayton County.

PS…You can also tell the ghetto degree by the number of plates of food they steal, I mean take home with them.

Still dont believe me? Then go for a dining experience at Maggio’s in Buckhead.

Oh yes…you wont be able to dine because of the ensuing, continuous laughter at the Posers in attendance. Now dont get me wrong…there are many familys their black and white that are in Maggio’s to enjoy a nice meal, good conversation and be amongst others who are somewhat affluent.

And then…in comes the ghetto, I mean the Clayton County Democrats…You know the ones…tennis shoes, silly fake gold chains that they stole from WalMart, pants hangin around their knees, crotch holding junkies and posers. And thats just the guys. Then in come the women with their day-glo orange 5 sizes too small dresses with stretch marked double D’s swinging from side to side and only to be outsize by the gargantuan belly fat the jiggles like jello with every step of the way in their duck orange colored 5 inch street walking heels.

And the hair…OMG…the guys combing they bald heads and the women touching up they hair piece that looks like a pretzels stacked up like a house of cards about to tumble any second.

Oh yes…the Clayton County democrats at large.

And they have laugh and yell and confirm to everyone they are actually the fools they appear to be. Yep…Maggio’s Italian food with the “Floor Show” starting at 5:30.

PS…Maggio’s now includes gratuity due the amount of Clayton County democrats that would incesantly harrass the wait staff and walk away leaving a $3 tip for a $100 meal.

As I passed by the old courthouse today, I saw the line go from the front door over the tracks and down to the church. I never saw the line that long. Of course it was full of colored people voting for that communist Barrack Obama. My god, she can waddle her fat butt all around the supermarket buying the premium stuff with my hard earned tax dollars and then jump in her caddilac escalade and go back to her section 8 apartment in da hood plush with HD plasma TV and all decked out with leather furniture she is behind on from rent a center. It must be a good life Ms. Hood Rat! So go on out there and vote for Obama while the real person that needs to be elected is Bob Barr. Bob will throw those lazy people in jail and throw away the key. How much more of our money can we keep giving to LaMeriah Alize Washington and her baby daddy Zontavious Tyrone Jackson who sits on the porch and swat flies, eat watermelon fried chicken and smoke blunts while checking out the phatt a$$ of some honey in da hood he wanna hit. My picks for Clayton’s elected officials on November 4:

OBAMA/BIDEN!!!

Deborah Honeycutt** because David Scott has done nothing while in office and he is a dirty politician. I also think we need a mix of Democrats and republicans in this county to help get things back on the RIGHT track.

Pam Adamson I live in Dis. 1 and based on what I’ve heard from her, she is the best choice and won’t be an embarassment a la Michelle Strong. she has ties to CCPS and SACS.

Although I don’t live in Dis 5 I have met Diana Nicholson and would vote for her over Burroughs if I lived there in a heartbeat. Nicholson seems to have a firm grasp of what needs to be done and is already involved in the school system because her kids attend.

I also like James Searcy, have met the man and he seems very intelligent BUT am leary about who he associates with. Charlton Bivins seems like a good guy but again, don’t like his affiliations. Glad have to make that choice.

Jack Rainweater I read and heard some things about Kembrough that I don’t like and I have seen him and Eldrin with their heads together one too many times. Eldrin is dirty so that association makes me nervous. However if Kembrough gets elected I could live with that and hope he does his job well as he seems qualified enough, but I will vote Rainwater because from what I can tell he is not in anyone’s pocket. Yet.

Still researching judges so not sure about Benefield and aside from all her signs I don’t know anything about her. I need more information.

If you want a judge that will dispense fair justice than go with Benefield. I had the opportunity to meet Wright and she is more of the same. Black, black , Black. We don’t need anymore race baiting now. She could not or would not answer specic questions about her platform without attacking Benefield.

Benefield has the backing of several well known community activist and elected leaders. Keep in mind that Clayton County is in rebuilding mode right now and the last thing we need is elected people learning on the job.

All black men don’t wear gold teeth, have their pants down to their knees, use broken english and are ignorant. The white controled media puts that image out. There are many black men who have graduated from colleges, are responsible citizens and are productive in society. They own business, and throw down the rope to other young black men seeking a way up. Now with regards to Obama. No other race has been dehumanized like African Americans in this country. The black man has had to endure oppression that would have some white man jumping out of windows. Right here in Clayton County about 40 years ago it was against the law for a black man to use a public restroom so when whites would see a black man urinating in the bushes the whites would say to themselves”Look at that animal” “P** in the woods” Many of the problems today are contributed to the conditions that blacks were forced to live under during jim crow white rule. For hundred of years it was illegal to educate a black man and in 2008 we chastise the black man for failing embrace pblic schooling, For hundreds of years the black family was seperated, sold off and bartered like cattle and now the black man is chastised for not being a family man, For hundreds of years the black woman was the object of sexuall desire by the white man and often times raped and gave birth to the white mans children only to be sold off and now the black woman is the one labeled as a sexual miscreant. Blacks were denied the right to vote by the whites in the south and now the black voter is chastised for voting for Obama only because he is black. That was then, this is now. In 2008 the black man suffers the highest unemployment rate, the highest crime rates an the highest incarceration rates. How many “slaves” do you see working at the libraies, Dept. Of Motor vehicles, Cleaning up private property and road sides? Georgia even allows prisons for profit! All one has to do is visit any courtroom and count the black to white ration and draw a sesnsible conclussion that blacks are obviously profiled by law enforcement. Black people are proud to see Obama’s accomplishments. Just as Emily’s list is proud to see women gain political clout. But for some reason when its black accomplishment, whites try to destroy that to. Ask yourself this white people, Why should we not be proud after all that we have endured?

The white people are trying their best to paint Obama as a socialist. America is a socialist state if you want to admit it or not. Social Security, Vetrans Hospitals, Section 8, Food Stamps, Business Subsidies, Senior Centers, Public Schools, GI Benefits etc are all forms of socialism. Sarah Palin is another obvious idiot just like George Bush. Do you white people really want her one heart beat away from the white house? The whites want to scare you into thinking Obama will sprad the wealt and that we will be subject to unfair distribution of wealth. Don’t we already redistribute wealth when we pay our taxes then Bush pays out 5.3 Billion dollars to Isreal, Saudi Arabia and corporate welfare for corporations shutting down in America and opening up in Communist China? I get a kick every time a conservative will say something like ” Why should the weathy pay taxes only to have those taxes redistributed to the 40% of the people who don’t pay taxes” What they are really saying is “Why should the rich be taxed so that their money can go to the poor” Of course if you don’t work you pay no income tax. But does not that 40% pay taxes when they buy gas, groceries and pay their utilities?

People don’t fall for the lies, and scare tactics coming from the Republicans. The only reason McCain is attacking Obama is because he can’t run on his own record. He can’t defent the record of the Coonservative philosphy. Trickle Down economics does not work. It has been proven it does not work. Money does not trickle down from the top, It is hoarded by the top. How else could you explain a 13 Million dollar CEO bonus while hundreds of his employees are laid off? If you desire to create real wealth, put the money in the hands of the consumer so they can spend and thus raise the economy. But true to form, the conservatives will bail out wall street before they bail out Main St.

America is a mixed capitalist society. Meaning we are mixed with socialist, communist and democratic values. Sort of like China is now only their model is kicking our butts because they won’t sell out their country to the highest bidder like America will.

The Average American both black and white has put the puzzle together and understand the Republican philosophy is based on a flawed premise. Smaller Government, less taxes while make good sound bits are not realistic. Our American Government will only continue to grow as will the demands on that government.

Obama will win this election by a landslide not because black people will vote in large numbers but because white people find themselves in the worst economic crunch sinse the great depression.

White people are simply a metaphor for the institutionalized and systematic racissim that exist today. I would lump Clarence Thomas with the white people. Ward Connerly with the white people etc.

The worst thing to ever happen to blacks was not slavery but intergration. Intergration killed thriving black business, schools and institutions that were created out of the void of white supreamacy policies. Today those same institutions are considered racist by whites because they cater to blacks. Could you imagine the outcry because of the National Association for the advancement of White People, The United White Colleg Fund, Historicly White Colleges & Universities etc.? But these institutions were created to serve a segment of the population that would not be served by mainstream white industry.

Most whites will be quick o claim they are not racist yet refuse to give up white privilage or the benefits of past white privilage. This is why reprarations are so important in the black community, not because blacks want a hand out but because blacks feel they are owed and rightfully so. This great mixed capitalist society was built on the backs of free black slave labor. And everyone knows that the biggest cost in production is labor. Reparations don’t have to come in the form of monetary payments either. How about free college education which would uplift all communities as well as the national economy. What about Free Micro Business Grants to qualifed small business owners? Why Not? Were throwing a trillion plus at the banking industry to have a debate if more is needed to save a corrupt and outdated business model of banking. Let me break it down for you -

I am thirty years old. I grew up in a fully integrated society with affirmitive action, and so did all the African-Americans in my generation. Their parents saw the “change”. They are the ones who might possibly deserve some thing. Their grandparents most definitely had to tolerate much more. The difference between those generations and mine is that African-Americans 30, 40, and 50 years ago or more, did not whine about their plight. They picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and fought for their rights and their children’s rights. Somehow, though, this generation isn’t satisfied. Constitutionally, they are equal to whites in every single way, but yet they still deserve some thing. Your parents and grandparents did not suffer so that you could be handed your living and your success. They suffered so that you could have the opportunity to earn a living and earn your success. The only thing that deprives African-Americans in today’s society is their lack of drive and motivation. When you speak of entitlement, aren’t you just making the same argument that Rev. Wright made about Hillary Clinton. If her skin color does not entitle her, then why does your skin color entitle you.

I would suggest that you and any other democrat read a book called “ATLAS SHRUGGED”. There will be a movie out next year. I wish they had released it two or three years ago.

Do we not as a “Christian: nation have a responsibility to at least throw the rope down to them so that they may pull themselves up as well? This year 24,000 jobs were lost in Georgia. Where will these people find work in this economy? How will these people pay their mortgages, Send their children to college and put food on the table? Unemployment checks? (A socialist program) Come on, you conservative Republicans act as if everyone who is a victim of greedy wall street ceos and misguided economic policies are somehow at fault for falling on hard times. Has there been some living above their means? I’m sure but the dow has plunged so that means people net worth are being wiped out as far as investment s are concerned. When the dow was hovering around 15,000 and those investors had nice homes, cars and a healthy lifestyle compared to now, we’re they living above their means? Or are they adjusting their lifestyle accordingly? And here is a side note, If your white, well to do and you still live in Clayton County than your full of BS because if you could you would have bolted outta here if you had the means. So stop it! Stop lying to yourself and trying to paint all blacks with a broad brush. Everyone in Clayton County is not the problem. I’m sick of everyone complaining that that section 8 is ruining clayton county. It takes two to tango. And beside can you blame someone who lives in the projects for wanting to get out the projects and move into a stable environment for their families? I don’t! But in the meantime, we are intransistion and of course transition means figuring it out as we move forward. Why do you whites move anyway? Why not stay here and help the county tax base? Of course we all know the answer, you whites just can’t stand to have a black as your neighbor! So go! Move out! Good riddance, beat it! We’re better off without you! And when Clayton County recovers and home prices start to stabilize and jobs start coming back and our home prices start climbing we’re going to look at you dumb rebels and laugh because you’ll be down in Lowdes county still trying to pay your rent on your trailer. What will those poor whites, blacks, and hispanics do when the top producing tax-payers say “Screw it” and walk away from the system that’s forcing them to pay hand over foot. When everyone says, “I don’t want to work. I want a government hand-out.” Who will be left to pay taxes? And as far as the Christian thing to do, when was the last time you actually read a bible? The only obligations Christians have to pay financially are their tithes to the church, and that would be 10% of their income. God didn’t say, “Break your back so your neighbor can step on you and take your dreams.” And by the way, I’m one of those poor people who would actually benefit the most from Obama’s economic plan (which is actually just a way for the government to control more of the money). If Obama raises cap gains taxes my family and I have discussed, as Im sure most have, selling all stocks before the increase takes effect.

If obama raise taxes in general, which I think he eventually will, then we have discussed raising our 401K contributions thereby reducing our overall tax base.

None of us owns business or business that makes over $250K.

What about the windfall profits on oil companys…well Jimmy Carter tried that little shell game and guess what…all of the sudden the oil companys profits dried up.

Increased taxes on companys over $250K will lead to nothing more than layoffs…thats a fact. So obama may get his tax increase and at the same time acquire more on UI than the system is capable of handling…ie overload.

Nothing personal against the poor etc, however there is enough WASTE in Clayton County govt, not to mention every other fed, state, county city, govt, that if tracked and eliminated we could probably balance the budget in 2 to 4 years with this previous wasted, stolen money.

Obama will raise taxes on everyone, he has to. There is no money to do anything he “promises”. Corporations will go where it’s cheaper and use employees there in other countries. Corporations also don’t pay taxes, they offload them to the consumer. The middle class may get a “tax” cut err handout but that same amount will need to be used for increased goods due to higher taxes. At the end of the day, we lose jobs, pay higher taxes, and will pay higher costs for goods and services.

Ashley Todd — who has a backward letter “B” scratched into her right cheek — confessed to faking the story and will be charged with filing a false report, Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant said at a news conference Friday.

Todd, of College Station, Texas, admitted there was no robbery or attacker and said she had prior mental health problems, according to Bryant.

It’s not yet clear whether Todd’s face was mutilated by her, or if she had somebody else do it, because a police report states that she told them she can’t remember.

Todd said she was driving around in her car, looked in her rear-view mirror, saw a “B,” and the first thing she thought of was Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama, according to a police report obtained by WTAE Channel 4 Action News.

Mandingo Warrior is just as stupid as all the others. Blacks vote democrat because they view them as their eternal protectors and apologists. But in this election, they’re being hoodwinked just like they have been in the past and have no clue it’s happening. McCain’s not running against Obama. He’s running against Bush, the economy, and the war. Why do you think it’s so close? If it wasn’t for this, Obama wouldn’t have a chance.

You think Obama hasn’t been part of all this that’s going on? If not, you really are stupid and refuse to see that Obama is pimping out his own to socialize the country. He knows he has close to an automatic 13% of the vote already from those that are the most destructive, vicious, and dependent inhabitants of our country. Why? He knows he has the upbringing of a white man but the skin color of those who are most gullible and needy. He only has to preach about unlimited welfare to seal the deal.

Today is the first time I have been on this blog in a while and, still Race, black and white. Constant arguing. People, we are really in big trouble.

Clayton has reached the bottom and all we can do is still argue. That’s what happened. We will still be at the bottom unless things change, and it starts with US!!!!!. Did at least half of you vote? We need to vote and get the right people in office. Change is only done thru choices not arguing!!!!!

Clayton County is in trouble due to the ignorant constituents voting for even more ignorant County officials.

Not the kids, BOE or officials fault. This debacle is the fault of the EVER SO STUPID, WITLESS, MINDLESS, HALF-WITTED Parents. They finally got the majority and voted along racial lines and have gotten exactly what they deserve.
