Can Clayton lure new businesses?
A few new businesses are trickling into Clayton County. At a time when much of the attention is focusing on problems in the school system, it’s refreshing to learn new jobs are being created. Read my latest blog entry on Wordpress

July 4th on a budget
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
July 4 is one of my favorite holidays (actually, any paid day off from work is good for me!), but this year it kind of snuck up on me and I was slow in making plans.
At first, my husband and I considered doing a short road trip since the fourth falls on a Friday. Unfortunately my nonchalance coupled with outrageous gas prices have all but nixed that idea, although we are still searching for some kind of last minute deal. Luckily, there are plenty of July 4 activities going on at The Beach at Clayton County International Park if we decide to venture out that day.
For just $10.00 admission you can check out the Summer Series Car and Bike Show, enjoy live music throughout the day, participate in some holiday themed family fun and games, see an outdoor movie screening and of course, watch the fireworks. My husband wants to stay home now just to check out the car show since it’s happening so close to home.
Worst case scenario, we will barbeque somewhere and continue the tradition of watching fireworks from our deck. Not only do we enjoy gazing at the fireworks from the comfort of our home, but also want to make sure none of them hit our house! Maybe we’ll even take a dip in our community pool if the neighborhood kids don’t take it over completely.
Has the high price of gas forced changes to your family’s summer travel plans? What places in Clayton and/or Georgia would you recommend for those who want to get away for awhile without breaking the bank?
Have a safe and blessed Independence Day Clayton!

From the Master Mole and the Mole Army UPDATE
My Mole Army has to be very careful since Victor Hill being having Kidd is back to using the voice stress analyzer for leaks, which well always fail.
Federal Case Number: 1:2008cv02117
Federal Judge Carnes Presiding
Plaintiff Pamela Blasingim
Defendant Victor Hill personally and officially as Sheriff of Clayton County
http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-gandce/caseno-1:2008cv02117/caseid-152185/
Who are the Players that perpetrated this alledged and vile behavior and alledged grievous violation of the Public Trust? Victor Hill Robin Kidd Elaine Baxter Grant Kidd Laurence Ethridge Myron Benton (Jail Barber) Jennifer Ross Eric Hein Gardiner Ricky Redding Herndon
Law Enforcement Officers and fellow Citizens…here are your alleged snitches and alleged stooges (now and in the past) in the SO Department for Victor Hill. It is highly recommended you examine yourselves and your relationships (if any) with these individuals. What is the cornerstone of any LEO? Trust of your fellow officer. That sacred integrity seems clearly violated.
Pay Close attention to paragraph 24:
Among other accounts detailed by Plaintiff was the “forfeited drug money account.” Sheriff Hill immediately determined that these funds were discretionary, although they were in fact heavily restricted in how they could be used . The forfeited drug money account contained funds in criminal drug cases both adjudicated and unadjudicated . Plaintiff told Sheriff Hill she had no idea as to whether the cases for which the drug money had been deposited had been adjudicated or not. He directed her to research each case and get the dispositions .
She did as instructed and found there was approximately $42,000 .00 of adjudicated funds in that account . Sheriff Hill began spending these funds, without regard to restrictions on their use, and the account zeroed out of adjudicated funds by the end of August 2005 .
paragraph 25;
Sheriff Hill continually made purchases and/or created debts directing Plaintiff to “take it from drug money” or “take it from the employee fund” or “take it from wherever it’s legal and not up for scrutiny .” Each time, Plaintiff notified the Sherriff’s Office legal advisor, Mr . Marierose, of the sheriffs inappropriate spending. Plaintiff was present when Mr . Marierose explained to the sheriff the improprieties of his actions . The sheriff repeatedly asked, “Can I go to jail?”
Paragraph 26:
With money running out, one of Sheriff Hill’s followers, Deputy Sheriff Ricky Redding, suggested the Sheriff’s Office buy its own vending machine and keep all the profit . Plaintiff was instructed to purchase such a machine . Sheriff Hill approved the purchase, and it was bought using funds generated from miscellaneous fees received for docket copies, fingerprinting, etc . (“Sheriff’s Fees & Costs”)
Paragraph 28:
After a time, the vending machine receipts began to steadily decline, but the sheriffs purchases escalated . Plaintiff advised Sheriff Hill the account was out of money. Sheriff Hill asked why, and she told him that she had heard complaints that the machines were always empty and weren’t making money the way they had before . The sheriff directed Plaintiff to do “whatever it takes” to see that this account made money. Plaintiff relayed the sheriff’s instructions to Captains Gardiner and Gavel, Deputy Redding’s superior officers . Redding and Herndon continued to place orders with Coke and sign out advances from petty cash to purchase product to fill the vending machines . Nonetheless, the account stayed in the red . Plaintiff was forced to “borrow” money from the general ledger to keep checks from bouncing . The vending machine account still owed the general ledger approximately $10,000 .00 as of January 16, 2008 .
Paragraph 29:
Plaintiff called the Attorney General’s Office in 2006 expressing concern about the way that Sheriff Hill was spending money . Plaintiff also told Sheriff Hill that the department did not have money for certain expenses and that he could not use drug money for buying dinners, for buying constituents’ lunch or for other personal uses such as artwork in his office .
Paragraph 30:
Sheriff Hill spent drug money before it was adjudicated and forfeited . If it is adjudicated and forfeited it is required by long standing policy to be given over to the county general fund . Sheriff Hill did not do this .
30. During Fall 2006, Sheriff Hill was under investigation by the Clayton County Grand Jury for paying unnecessary expenses, including overtime pay for a choir he had assembled .
33 . During the grand jury proceedings, Victor Hill falsely testified that he had not paid the choir overtime.
34 . After Defendant Hill testified, Plaintiff advised him that indeed he had paid the choir overtime and that he knew he had done so and that he and she had discussed this prior to his testimony . Nonetheless, Defendant Hill did not correct his testimony .
35 . The grand jury found that the choir was being paid overtime and that choir members should volunteer on their own time .
36 . Thereafter, Sheriff Hill appeared on television stating publicly that the grand jury was wrong and that he had never paid the choir . Thereafter, Hill blamed Chief Deputy William Cassells for paying the choir .
Plaintiff, a material witness to the relevant accounting records and to the false statements by Sheriff Hill before the Grand Jury and to the news media, became intimidated prior to the hearing and during it . During that period of time, employees who testified at the hearing, or who even sat in attendance of the hearing, were given transfers to undesirable positions, ordered by Sheriff Hill .
43 . During the week prior to the Cassells hearing, knowing Plaintiff was subpoenaed to testify Lieutenant Eric Hein of Internal Affairs remarked to others that the sheriff had enough evidence to put Plaintiff in jail . The remark was intended to be published to Plaintiff in order to intimidate her and prevent her from testifying . Lieutenant Hein also drove by Plaintiff’s residence at least twice prior to the hearing. Plaintiff, fearing for her job, asked Cassell’s attorney to withdraw the subpoena.
50. Sheriff Hill replaced the long-time barber to the inmates with his personal friend, Myron Benton (African American) . From the beginning, Benton was not required to comply with any policy or procedure of the sheriff’s office . Benton had no set day or time to provide services. He showed up at the accounting office at the busiest times to be paid for barber services . Typically, he would come at the end of the day, requiring Plaintiff or other workers in the office to stay an hour or more to process barber requests so he could be paid . The barber was consistently rude in the way that he treated Plaintiff and other accounting techs . The barber routinely threatened Plaintiff and her subordinates with “Do I need to go see the sheriff?”
51 . The barber routinely failed to perform services on the approval date . Then, when he finally presented previously approved requests for payments, the inmates who had received haircuts had long since spent the funds and there was not sufficient fund money in their accounts to pay the barber . Upon being advised that he would not be paid for service because an inmate did not have sufficient funds, the barber repeatedly complained to Sheriff Hill .
It goes on and on…read for yourself!

How many criminals are we going to let back on the streets because Victor Hill and Jewell Scott don’t know how to do their job?

I know some of you out there still supoort Victor Hill even after all the stupid things he has done. the man has done nothing but cost the taxpayers money. If you want to see your taxes continue to rise go ahead and vote for him. Crime rate in clayton county has risen since he has been in office (look at the stats if you dont believe me) so tell me. WHAT THE HELL HAS HE DONE? I guess the final straw for me was seeing first hand the way he treats the inmates at the jail. Sure they have done crimes and are paying for them but there is no need to dehumanize them by making them face the wall when he walks by.
I dont know a lot about the other people running for Sheriff but I say anyone is better than this little bozo. So if everybody else is going for Kimbrough…so am I!

How appropriate to have a byline, ‘4th of July on a budget’. Walking Small has campaigned for consolidation of the police and sheriff departments because of duplication of services; which are a huge waste of money. But, who’s doing the duplication?! None other than Lil’ Napoleon, who has ‘created’ numerous programs that duplicate what the CCPD was already doing. Consolidation is needed, but not with Victor Hill in charge.

Victor Hill is on the wrong side of the system, he needs to not only be Voted out of office he needs to spend some time on the chain gang repaying taxpayers from all he has cost them. Sorry to be so harsh but anyone that votes for this man is a total freaking idiot!

This is sort of old news, but after reading the article on Ashe’s resignation, I would like to say that I do not know which of Trotter-Troll’s Trotterites (Strong or Scott) used his ugly, manufactured blog to attack Eddie White. All I know is that Trotter wrote it, and both are associated with him. If I was incorrect that Strong participated in that act, then I apologize to her specifically.
I am not impressed with Kembrough. He seems to be just a “Victor Hill” clone. My vote will be for Shannon Lemon or Jack Rainwater.

Did anyone else receive the latest issue of the “Sheriff’s Star” - Wittle Vic’s campaign literature paid for by the taxpayers????
The headline story was about his Domestic Violence unit. It gave an example of it’s no-nonsense approach to abusers by telling the story of how 2 members of this unit waited at the Greyhound Bus station downtown to meet the alleged stalker of a Clayton County resident. They advised him to get back on the bus, and supposedly he did.
I wonder how many of the 20,000 back-logged warrants could have been served in the time it took for these idiots to buy the guy a return ticket???? How about doing some work within the county instead of traveling to Garnet Street? Is Vic trying to move in on the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office?
Victor isn’t waiting for approval to consolidate - he’s doing it right now in his usual “in your face” method of business. Forget the jail, forget the warrants, forget the courthouse security. He wants that tank and that helicopter and his elite COBRA unit. He wants to declare war on the citizens of Clayton County until he is elected King.
Whoever said it before is right. Anyone who votes for this Demented Dwarf Victor Hill (or the nutcase Glenn Dowell who calls Sheriff Walking Small the greatest public servant in the history of Clayton County) is completely illiterate and out of their mind.

Clayton Taxpayer - I got Victor’s little rag in the mail. I couldn’t help, but laugh at that picture on the cover. Victor has got his hand on his desk and is leaning back in his chair like he’s rolling around in a cadillac. He is the King Gangsta-pimp Sheriff of Clayco. Not only that, but the officers behind him looked like giants compared to him. If he hadn’t been trying so hard to look cool, you wouldn’t even have noticed him.

For the few of you who get on here and say lies and false accusations against Mr. Hartley.
Psalm 109
1 O God, whom I praise, don’t stand silent and aloof 2 while the wicked slander me and tell lies about me. 3 They surround me with hateful words and fight against me for no reason. 4 I love them, but they try to destroy me with accusations even as I am praying for them! 5 They repay evil for good, and hatred for my love. 6 They say,[a] “Get an evil person to turn against him. Send an accuser to bring him to trial. 7 When his case comes up for judgment, let him be pronounced guilty. Count his prayers as sins. 8 Let his years be few; let someone else take his position. 9 May his children become fatherless, and his wife a widow.10 May his children wander as beggars and be driven from their ruined homes. 11 May creditors seize his entire estate, and strangers take all he has earned. 12 Let no one be kind to him; let no one pity his fatherless children. 13 May all his offspring die. May his family name be blotted out in a single generation. 14 May the Lord never forget the sins of his fathers; may his mother’s sins never be erased from the record. 15 May the Lord always remember these sins, and may his name disappear from human memory. 16 For he refused all kindness to others; he persecuted the poor and needy, and he hounded the brokenhearted to death. 17 He loved to curse others; now you curse him. He never blessed others; now don’t you bless him. 18 Cursing is as natural to him as his clothing, or the water he drinks, or the rich food he eats. 19 Now may his curses return and cling to him like clothing; may they be tied around him like a belt.”
20 May those curses become the Lord’s punishment for my accusers who speak evil of me. 21 But deal well with me, O Sovereign Lord, for the sake of your own reputation! Rescue me because you are so faithful and good. 22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is full of pain. 23 I am fading like a shadow at dusk; I am brushed off like a locust. 24 My knees are weak from fasting, and I am skin and bones. 25 I am a joke to people everywhere; when they see me, they shake their heads in scorn.
26 Help me, O Lord my God! Save me because of your unfailing love. 27 Let them see that this is your doing, that you yourself have done it, Lord. 28 Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing! 29 May my accusers be clothed with disgrace; may their humiliation cover them like a cloak. 30 But I will give repeated thanks to the Lord, praising him to everyone. 31 For he stands beside the needy, ready to save them from those who condemn them.

When I read the entire filing, I couldn’t believe the unmitigated gaul of that little speck of horse squeeze named victor hill. and the people he surrounds himself with - as I was reading about the events that took place, I wished at that very moment that I could’ve stepped in front of Pam and the other accounting techs and tell that jackass of a barber to kiss mine. what a first class jerk! But that’s typical - a Henry county interloper feeding at the trough of victor, the physical and mental midget, and thanks to the ignorance and good will of the Clayton County taxpayer.
Geez people, how much evidence do you need to get rid of that pi$$ ant? It’s clear that he believes his own press and his ego is only outmatched by his desperation to get from under the shadow of a true giant, like Jeff Turner. He probably has Jeff Turner voodoo dolls in his office (to go along with the cowboy pictures.)
On the theme of the July 4th holiday, declare independence from the tyranny that is the CC Sheriff’s office on July 15 - vote for ANYONE besides victor hill!
Bring it on, Kimberly - let’s hear about what our choices are because vic is NO CHOICE.
If we as citizens were truly to celebrate the spirit of this holiday - we would postpone our barbecues, insist that the candidates convene for a forum and take time to learn about them and their respective agendas. It’s going to take a revolution to change the direction that this county (and country - I dare say) is going and what better time to declare one.

The Demented Dwarf has a chance at winning because there are so many candidates running against him. While I’m thrilled to see the passion and commitment of so many who want to defeat the little clown, if the Hill opposition votes are spread amongst 5-6 candidates, he could win by a small majority.
There will still be a run-off election in November since we do have a Republican candidate for Sheriff, but I’m not holding out hope that a Republican will beat a Democrat in Clayton County.
I wish those Democratic candidates would recognize the problem and decide to take one for the team by throwing their support behind one of the candidates.

There’s always the chance that multiple opponents will dilute the opposition. But there is also the chance that supporters of those multiple opponents can vote in such numbers as to keep Victor below the magic “50 percent + 1” majority.
The question then becomes will the candidates who lost (and those who supported them) unite behind Victor’s opponent in the runoff?
Victor has a huge advantage in name recognition, that comes in handy considering the huge number of voters who don’t do their homework.
What I wonder is, did he add to that advantage by abusing his franking privilege this close to the primary?

The lawsuit should be interesting: it seems very credible. Haven’t seen it in the AJC yet; just because he put them “on suspension” doesn’t mean they don’t have a right to report it. And what of the TV stations? Have they looked into it?

I HAPPENED TO BE IN CHURCH SUNDAY WHEN RAINWATER EXPLAINED HOW HE GOT ON THE BALLOT AS REPUBLICAN. HE IS RIGHT, HE IS OUR LAST LINE OF DEFENSE IF VICTOR GETS OUT DURING THE PRIMARIES.THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE SINCE THE VOTE IS SPLIT SO MANY WAYS THAT VIC WILL GET OUT. Vey the Mole Net.
RICO = RACKETEER INFLUENCED & CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS (ACT)
When the allegations by Pam Blas.Lawsuit prove to be true. There would be no other choice to apply this charge to Hill and his “corrupt organization”. He is literally running a criminal enterprise with numerous henchmen under his charge.
It should read (in part like this).
Victor Hill used his position as Sheriff of Clayton County to “personally enrich himself” (Which is a bonafide Federal Charge, just google orange county,Ca. sheriff federal arrest. He was just removed for it among other similar things to Hill) In doing so, Mr. Hill violated his oath/public trust (seperate lesser charges) etc…. It will then go on to extract these clearly defined elements that he has blatently violated.
RICO “Under RICO, a person or group who commits any two of 35 crimes?27 federal crimes and 8 state crimes?within a 10-year period and, in the opinion of the United States Attorney bringing the case, has committed those crimes with similar purpose or results can be charged with racketeering. Those found guilty of racketeering can be fined up to $25,000 and/or sentenced to 20 years in prison per racketeering count. In addition, the racketeer must forfeit all ill-gotten gains and interest in any business gained through a pattern of “racketeering activity.”
It then goes on to say
“Any act of bribery, counterfeiting, theft, embezzlement, fraud, dealing in obscene matter, obstruction of justice, slavery, racketeering, gambling, money laundering, commission of murder-for-hire, and several other offenses covered under the Federal criminal code (Title 18); Embezzlement of union funds; Bankruptcy or securities fraud; Drug trafficking; Money laundering and related offenses; Bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in entering the country (if the action was for financial gain); Acts of terrorism. Pattern of racketeering activity requires at least two acts of racketeering activity, one of which occurred after the effective date of this chapter and the last of which occurred within ten years (excluding any period of imprisonment) after the commission of a prior act of racketeering activity. The U.S. Supreme Court has instructed federal courts to follow the continuity plus relationship test in order to determine whether the facts of a specific case give rise to an established pattern. Predicate acts are related if they “have the same or similar purposes, results, participants, victims, or methods of commission, or otherwise are interrelated by distinguishing characteristics and are not isolated events.” H.J. Inc. v. Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. Continuity is both a closed and open ended concept, referring to either a closed period of conduct, or to past conduct that by its nature projects into the future with a threat of repetition”
And for the coup de grat
“Although some of the RICO predicate acts are extortion and blackmail, one of the most successful applications of the RICO laws has been the ability to indict or sanction individuals for their behavior and actions committed against witnesses and victims in alleged retaliation or retribution for cooperating with law enforcement or intelligence agencies.
The RICO laws can be alleged in cases where civil lawsuits or criminal charges are brought against individuals or corporations in retaliation for said individuals or corporations working with law enforcement, or against individuals or corporations who have sued or filed criminal charges against a defendant”
Whooops.. well I guess if they haven’t thought about doing it.. they will now!

Don’t take my word for it, ask other individuals in law enforcement and the judicial system. They’ll tell you. In my research of candidates, I’ve spoken to many of their peers (other DA’s and Sheriff’s) across the state and staff within our own local law enforcement. It’s a shame how they’ve tarnished this County. I can’t repeat what many think about them.

Ms. Moore would seem like a very good candidate, but I feel she is somewhat too critical of parents. She does however have excellent ideas in mind to bring the community out for board and PTA meetings. I live in District 5, and I have met all the candidates. The three top contenders seem to me to be Diana Nicholson, Treena Morris, and Phyllis Moore. I had previously endorsed Ms. Nicholson, but truly I find myself more an more inclined to vote for Treena Morris. All candidates for District 5 have excellent qualifications and the best of intentions. I wish all district 5 voters the best of luck in choosing the person you would most like to represent you and your children on the school board.

Since you find it interesting, which black male do you believe should have received an A based upon the criteria?
Time to put money where your mouth is. We know your type. You’re the kind who doesn’t attend but always has something to say if it ain’t your size or color.

What’s Up Now? - That’s just Trotter (or Dowell) trying to rock the boat and label me as a racist. I don’t really feel that it needs to be dignified. Out of seven candidates for district 5, my top three are the ones that I feel have the most to offer. It just so happens that they are all women. All of the candidates, however, make choosing one very difficult. Each one has an honest desire to serve our children to the best of their ability.

I’m in agreement with those of you trying to dissuay people into voting for Kimbrough for Sheriff! He is not a good alternative! Just like others have said…another Hill waiting to happen! Not only should you question why he left the Sheriff’s office, but also question his actual EXPERIENCE while there (any non-legal experience…NO). As to why he let, some insiders like myself speculate that it had at least a little to do with the more-than-one-time he was caught with his pants down in the office. I’ll leave the details to Mr. Kimbrough to sort out and the rest to all of your imaginations…

It’s a shame, but I guess you’ll have to leave it up to Kimbrough to clear these allegations up, since none of you has produced any real evidence of wrong-doing. You guys are doing nothing but helping Victor by trying to take down the only candidate who’s working to win (since your candidates can’t beat him on the merits). By the way, did you notice that those are CCPD officers in his commercial and it’s in front of CCPD HQ - sound like CCPD not in support of him (the ones that live in the county anyway)?? Grow up and see that the only way to win is to talk about what’s real and not make up fantasies to fit your failures…like Victor and the rest of the wanna-be sheriffs. Go Kimbrough!! Because Clayton Deserves Better!!!

You know, if the candidates were really thinking, one of them would have already legally changed their name to “Anybody But Victor.”
THAT should get someone fifty percent of the vote, shouldn’t it?
And if it didn’t? Well, one could always hope that the gravitational pull from the county “going down the tubes” would be strong enough to attract an asteroid…

White people come on this forum and say Blacks are destroying this county. However, all Blacks know that the old embedded Whites with all the money are destroying this county; “People like T. Starr, G. Buckner, C. Bray, The Pink Pony Guy, T. Cathy, and the like. What Blacks in this county have the kind of MONEY to demand this kind of MEDIA attention? They employ Uncle Toms to do their dirty work. All you so-call political wannabes LOOK OUT, they come after YOU. Clayton government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the embedded county corruption complex, whether White or Black. The government consists of a gang of men and women exactly like you and I. They have, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting and holding office.” WISE UP

Some of the current CCBOE said “You cannot go on ‘explaining away’ for ever: you will find that you have explained explanation itself away. You cannot go on ‘seeing through’ things for ever. The whole point of seeing through something is to see something through it.” That’s Clayton citizen’s problem now. An inability to see that the real problem is Whites wanting to keep control of the school systems money is willing to strangle you to death with your children’s accreditation. This leads some to question, “What do you know and how do you know it?”

Here’s a news flash! The BOE, in conjunction with their attorneys, have determined that there were no ethics violations committed in either case that was recently alleged. That oughta restore some confidence in the board!
In a related story the BOE announced, after interviewing both Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens, that there are no steroids in baseball…

Here’s a newsflash for you Timetable Zoombie: I know for a fact that blacks come to this forum and say that blacks are destroying this county. The crooked black politicians who have enough money to buy any election they want. How much do you think Lee Scott pays for those billboards of his? You think he’s backed by white money???? HAH! He’s a Yankee and no self-respecting, old school Southerner would be caught dead financing a black candidate.
You ask, “What Blacks in this county have the kind of MONEY to demand this kind of MEDIA attention?”
MEDIA attention is free to anyone who cares to make an a$$ out of themselves in the public eye. Just look at our Sheriff Walking Small and our Board of Retardation who have received enough FREE media attention to make Clayton County the laughingstock of the country.
Grow up!

“Observer”, AKA, Mr. Kimbrough…since you won’t respond to the rumors of your reasons for leaving the SO (albeit, with your pants down), can you please enlighten those of us who wonder why a lawyer, with an Emory degree, no doubt, would even think of running for Sheriff, if not for a power trip?? We all must ask why is it that you do not have an illustrious legal career that would afford you the salary and the power that you so eagerly seek? The salary of the Sheriff is a mear $120k (give or take), your former position as legal advisor to the Sheriff is a lot less than that (around $65k), so one has to wonder A-why your legal training (NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT or MANAGEMENT training)hasn’t afforded you a better career and B-your true motives for becoming Sheriff? Please, please, explain this to us…And while you’re at it, explain to us (AND YOUR WIFE) about the episodes of your less-than-professional behavior on the job?

Alright, cross off Victor and Kem. Anybody know anything about the other candidates? I’ve seen some signs in people’s yards nearby for Garland Watkins. I’ve seen a few for Strozier. What’s the story on them? Is there a candidates’ forum coming up for the sheriff’s office? Is there anyone else on the democratic ticket? (I’m not a democrat, but I usually vote the dem ballot in the primary to help ‘thin the herd’ and will continue to do so until there is a libertarian or anarchist primary - yeah, right)

And I’m sorry, “Observer”, but why is it that you think Kimbrough is the “only candidate who’s working to win”?! I’ve seen all of the candidates out there working to dethrone Victor Hill. As a matter of fact, Kimbrough is one of the last of them to even start campaigning. I saw one candidate getting his name out there and meeting people as early as a year ago. At the time, I thought it was way to early, but looking back, I appreciate the opportunity to meet this guy before the others came in and muddied the waters to guarantee a split in the votes. Kimbrough reeks of an ego-driven individual yearning for power. What would he do with it? I don’t want to know or even think about the possiblity of another moron in office like the one there now, so I WILL NOT vote for Kimbrough…too many ties to too many morons, including the one currently in office!

There have been several forums for the Sheriff’s candidates over the last few weeks. I attended the first one out at the facilities at The Beach. It was informative. I think everyone needs to do their homework on these people’s qualifications and ability to unify the front to put Clayton County back in a positive light. What stuck out most to me among all the Sheriff’s candidates was that Strozier and Rainwater are the only ones without ties to previous administrations. That is a big thing to me, considering the situation we’re in now. Watkins seems like an ‘ok’ guy, but was really trying hard to get ‘sympathy votes’ for having been one of the ones fired by Hill on his 1st day in office. Watkins seemed like the type that would do better in a support position, rather than at the helm. Strozier seems to definitely have all the experience with law enforcement and management and seems to be a ‘no nonsense’ kind of guy. Lemon comes across as just plain tired and ready to stay retired as he is. I got a flier for a rally that was held by some Jonesboro citizens that are urging people to vote for the most qualified candiates. On that rally ticket was Eldrin Bell for Comm. Chair, Tracey Graham-Lawson for D.A., Tasha Mosely for Solicitor Gen., Strozier for Sheriff, and Linda Miller for Clerk. These are all my candidates of choice. I am still undecided about my candidate for my school board district.

The Clayton County Democratic Party is sponsoring a candidate forum on Comcast local access channel 25 every Tuesday and Thursday from 7pm to 9pm until the primary. Also, Georgia Public Television is televising candidate debates for many political races. Check their listing for when Clayton County Sheriff candidates debate will be broadcast.
You can follow this link to see the Sample Democrat and Republican ballot for the primary election: [http://www.co.clayton.ga.us/brdelectionsregistration/sample_ballots/index.htm]
Based on my research, Rainwater has my vote, but since I’m voting the Democratic Ballot in the primary, I’ll have to pick someone just to beat our incumbent Sheriff Walking Small.

Jack Rainwater has my vote for sheriff in November. Not sure who I’ll vote for in the primary since I’m a registered democrat but it definitely will NOT be Kem Kimbrough.
I really hate to have to cast a vote for Eldrin Bell, especially after that recent Pink Pony escapade (what former police chief can’t shoot a gun?) but the pickins are slim in that race and Eldrin knows it.
Tracy Graham and Tasha Mosely also have my vote. And I can not WAIT to vote A. Michelle Strong the hell out of office in 2010 if a recall does not happen sooner (any news on that folks?)

Thanks to the thoughtful and intelligent people for the information. I’d like to think that that’s what this blog is for. Thanks also to Kim and the AJC for providing this space.
To those other pea brains using all of that vulgar language: You need to go back to school so that you can actually get out of 4th grade. What imbeciles! Oh, I’m sorry. You pigs don’t understand words that are longer than 4 letters… how’s this? Grow up!

I’m with you Black Woman in Clayco.
I was feeling okay about voting for Chairman Bell until I heard about his escapade at the party given by the owner of the Pink Pony (and other adult entertainment establishments to include the Crazy Horse Saloon in Forest Park). Why in the heck is he consorting with that guy? The morals of it don’t bother me but it somehow seems like a conflict of interest?
And of course, the Demented Dwarf is all over it.
Good grief Eldrin! Don’t we have enough trouble with Wittle Vic without adding fuel to the fire??? What were you thinking???

I rarely check this blog because it has become more like the Jerry Springer show weird and staged. I don’t care to know you or to be associated with you in any form or fashion. I have a life to live. Whatever your motivation is I hope your being paid well. People can see right thru you and your motives. Anyone can come on here and say anything about everyone and watch the fireworks fly. I will continue to pray for you that you may find inner peace. As far as all the other lies you put forth, they don’t justify a response. You have no class nor integrity. I find comfort in knowing that good, decent, hardworking people far outnumber the people who share your mentality.

To Bob Hartley
You are correct when you say that, “People can see right thru you and your motives.”
No one on this forum with any degree of intelligence and decency could possibly take seriously the illiterate, disturbed rantings of the various-named posters on this blog concerning you.
I don’t know you personally but what I know of you professionally is that you are a concerned citizen of Clayton County working dilligently to restore order to our county, and I thank you for your efforts.
Having said that, I am shocked to hear that you are giving second thoughts to the recall effort for Sandra Scott. Isn’t she the Board of Education member who, “charged the school system $966 to retrieve colleagues’ e-mail records and ran up $200 in charges to open a high school so she could hold a personal meeting. A Morrow High School football coach was allegedly fired after he declined to provide Scott game tapes of her son.”?
I didn’t know the effort to recall her was solely for the sake of saving accreditation but more for the sake of removing a dyfunctional member from the Board. I hope you and your fellow District 9 residents will re-think your position. What’s to prevent similar behavior on the new board? Because she promises she’ll never do it again?
Let’s go back to the original cry: “HELL NO - ALL MUST GO!”

There was no ethics violation because the message placed on the desks of board members came fom a legitimate blog? This is a legitimate blog. Isn’t that a little bit of an oxymoron?
